Chapter 96

Bonnie stood over Destiny's crib as she was watching her sleeping. She ran her fingers through her gorgeous dark brown hair. Damon watched by the door. "She feels so soft and smell so good." Bonnie said

"Every feeling and your senses is heightened bon." He said

"I want to know what else is better as a vampire." She said walking over to him seductively

"I think Brighton fell asleep on us too." He said

Bonnie smiled then led him to their bedroom and started kissing him passionately. Damon lifted her up onto the bed and she tore his shirt off. The song "A Thousand Years" played in the background as they started making love.

"I love you,damon. I always have and after everything that we experienced together." She said kissing his chest.

Damon stayed silent as he was lost in his own private thoughts.

"Are you ok?" She asked

"I was just thinking of ways i will have to explain to people why my wife is a vampire now." He said

"I wanted to become an vampire damon." She said

"You became a vampire because you were suffering and couldn't take it bon. People usually be that way about becoming a vampire." He said

"Im different than most people always have been. We both know that so don't worry about me." She said

"Why do that make me worried?" He asked

"Because you have been such a good man for so long. It kind of comes with the territory." She said jokingly

He kissed her and they started making love again. Afterwards, damon put on his robe to go call stefan. "I need to meet up with you in the morning." He said

"You couldn't tell me this in the morning damon? Its after midnight." Stefan said

"Like you were sleeping." He said

"Elena has been acting weird." Stefan confessed

"Weirder than usual?" Damon asked

"Thats my soon to be wife your talking about brother." Stefan said

"It's still true Stefan." Damon said

"Have all your feelings for Elena went away? We never got a chance to actually talk about that." Stefan said

"I realize my feelings for Elena died when we was in the car together before crossing over to the other side with bon. We broke up not only because it was toxic for the both of us but because i fell for Bonnie. She was strong but also nurturing and selfless in our love. Elena was never that for me stefan. She couldn't be those things for me because she never stopped loving you. I wanted her to pick me but she chose you. I was lonely enough not to care about being with her regardless." He said

"That's a powerful realization Damon." Stefan said

"Maybe it's something i should've apologized for a long time ago." Damon said

"It's better to experience it,realize it and learn from it,Damon." Stefan said

"See you tomorrow?" Damon asked

"Tomorrow." Stefan said then hung up the phone.

Damon went back to upstairs and Brighton was out the bed. "What you doing up buddy?" Damon asked

"Hungry." Brighton said

"Daddy is going to give you  a midnight special  snack." Damon said picking him up.
