"Thanks for this, Irene, Yeri," Jennie said as she signed the last release form.

"We'll be keeping an eye on you, Miss Kim," Chaeyoung said. "You're still a person of interest in this case."

"Prove that my client actually received the money from that loan shark or is really able to predict betting scores then maybe we'll talk again, Inspector," Yeri replied coldly – ushering Jennie away from Chaeyoung.

"Must be quite an expensive lawyer," Joonmyun mumbled, coming to stand next to Chaeyoung.

The two then saw the Captain approaching one of the three women walking away from them.

"Unnie," Jisoo greeted Irene with a smile.

"Hey, Jichu. Long time no see." Irene hugged the slightly taller young woman. "Thanks for the call," she whispered.

"Don't thank me. Someone suggested I call you about your friend," Jisoo whispered back.

"Oh?" Irene let go of Jisoo. "Who?"

Jisoo grinned. "I'll tell you about it some other time. Maybe after all this is over."

"Aish, you and your police business." Irene playfully hit Jisoo's arm.

"Take care of your friend, and tell her to take care of herself. I can't say much but that's the best she can do right now."

Irene nodded. "I understand. Thanks."

Jennie saw Irene talking to a woman that everyone seemed to avoid. She knew that meant power or position. She decided not to stick around long enough to confirm her assumption. She had had enough of cops. She was emotionally exhausted so all she wanted to do was go home and curl up in her bed.

"Hey, sorry but I gotta run. Got another case I have to work on."

Jennie turned her head towards Yeri. "It's okay. Thanks for helping me out."

The blond woman smiled. "Thank Joohyun. Call me if there's anything, okay? And don't say anything to them. I need to be present when they talk to you." Yeri kindly shook Jennie's hand. "Go home and rest, Jennie." She then left the station.

"You got one heck of a lawyer there."

Jennie took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. She turned around. "What's your point, Inspector?"

Seulgi smiled. "Just a random comment. Kim Yerim is one of the up and coming criminal lawyers so you're in good hands. Besides, I haven't had the chance to say hello back to you personally."

Jennie let her guard down a little. "I have nothing to do with any of those people."

"I know that, Miss Kim. I know that your only reason is the debts, the medical bills." Seulgi observed Jennie carefully. "Your late mother's?"

"With all due respect, Inspector, it's none of your business." Jennie's guard went up again at the mention of her mother. "Tell that to your tall friend who's been staring at me for the past five minutes."

Seulgi looked behind Jennie to see Lisa leaning on her desk with her arms folded – watching. She chuckled. "How did you know?"

"I can feel the dagger in her eyes. I think she dislikes me."

"I thought you were the one who disliked her."

Jennie shrugged. "I'm not exactly fond of arrogant people who think they're better than others."

"She's not like that." Seulgi caught sight of the Captain saying goodbye to a short woman who began walking towards them. "She wouldn't have told the Captain to call your friend and get you a good lawyer if she were." She grinned then walked away.
