We arrived at Aunt Josephine's house yesterday. She picked us up at the dock and drove us to her house. She gave us gifts, then took us grocery shopping. We ran into Captain Sham, who was really Count Olaf in disguise.
Unlike all the other adults in the world right now, Aunt Josephine believed us. She pretended not to believe us while my siblings and I pretended to beg Aunt Josephine that Captain Sham was Aunt Josephine.
Aunt Josephine kept Count Olaf busy while Klaus called the police. They arrived and arrested him. Now we're free of him!
Last I heard, the Hook Handed Man found his sister and stepdad and began living with them in a submarine. The others formed a real acting troupe. On the side, the Bald Man is the president of the Esmé Squalor Fan Club.
~years later~
KLAUS POV
I'm now at college. The Count Olaf days are long behind us. The other day, I ran into a girl.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" I apologized.
"No, no, it's my fault." she replied. "I'm a total klutz."
I picked up her books and returned them to her.
"Um, I'm Klaus. Klaus Baudelaire."
"Isadora Quagmire."
We shook hands. We continued to talk about little things like her poetry career, Ogden Nash, and our siblings.
"You have two brothers? Lucky. I have two sisters."
Isadora laughed. "Yeah, but they're very overprotective."
"Yeah we are." At that moment, Isadora's brothers showed up, their arms crossed in front of them.
I pulled Isadora to the side and in my quietest whisper asked, "Would you like to get coffee this weekend? W-with me?"
She smiled. "I would love that."
~more years later~
SUNNY POV
Klaus ended up dating that Isadora girl he met at college. When he introduced Isadora to us eight dates later, Isadora's brothers saw Violet and started talking to her. The quiet one was more Violet's type, but the messier haired one couldn't take a hint.
Violet and Duncan ended up dating, and I was the maid of honor at both of their wedding and Klaus and Isadora's.
