BEATRICE POV
Lemony and I were trying to escape, but, Esmé saw us leave and demanded "her sugar bowl" back.

"Are we throwing darts?" Olaf asked. "That's much more fun than the opera."

"Can you guys calm down?" Kit asked. "We're all friends here."

"Friends don't steal each other's sugar bowls." Esmé replied sinisterly.

The door to the opera opened and Olaf's father stepped out. "What is going on out here? And why do you all have darts?"

Good thing I hung onto mine, I almost threw mine at him.

"Mister, she took my sugar bowl!" Esmé complained to him like a 5 year old.

"Sir, the cure for the fungus is in here." I explained to him. "VFD needs it more than Esmé does."

Esmé gave me a look of disgust. "Saving lives is more important than fashion decor." Lemony said.

Olaf's father rolled his eyes. "Honestly! Aren't you people supposed to be smart?" He turned to Lemony and I. "Just put the sugar cubes into a drabby sugar bowl" he turned to Esmé, "So she can have her bowl."

Everyone awkwardly looked at each other. "I guess we never thought of that." Lemony spoke up.

"Obviously." Olaf's father answered. He left and came back 3 minutes later with a plain white sugar bowl.

"Here, place the sugar in here." I poured the sugar into the new bowl. "And now give that one to Esmé."

I handed the sugar bowl to Esmé, and she gladly took it.

"Now, was that so hard?" Olaf's father chuckled.

"Imagine how many lives we just saved." Kit wondered.

"Or fortunes." Olaf joked.

"Imagine what would've happened if we hadn't done that..." I whispered.

"I guess we'll never know." Lemony smirked.
