Have you ever looked up to the stars
Not quite sad, and not quite scared
You hope the stars know who you are
Because you know you can't compare
You have dreams the size of oceans
And a heart worth twice as much
Promise you'll see the stars with me
Promise you'll never give that up
I've dreamed of dancing in the moonlight
But I guess my smile's rare to see
I hope I can understand one day
And that it might set me free
Have you ever looked into the water
And felt like you weren't yourself
Little waves ripple out from the center
But would you rather be someone else?
Every heartbreak, every wonder
Every single thing you've been
You didn't journey out and find them
You had to pull them from within
I know your soul is weary
But one day it will find home
No matter who you are, look to the stars
And you will know you're not alone
There's always a dreamer watching
Someone who knows and cares
You might not know or see them
But I promise you, they're there
Oh, the stories we could tell
If we trusted in the stars
If you look at them and wonder
If you're worth it...
You are.

Inkblood Poetry
PoetryPoetry is the most efficient way for me to express things, even when I can't define it in a way that makes sense. And I think that's the beautiful thing about it - that poetry doesn't even need to be defined. It just exists.
