Video Used: Soundtrack of the show
Here is something Asian (well, specifically Korean) but I think no one cares anymore.
I've been following this drama series since they broke the news about some of its storyline in which there was going to be a character who was a lesbian. My excitement didn't stop there when I found out who was playing the character.
I hope you all are aware of Girls' Generation (SNSD) and if not, then they are a girlgroup, originally with 9 members. They are a huge sensation in South Korea and many people love them. So, when they announced that the character of Anna was going to be played by Seohyun (the youngest member of the girlgroup), I was over the moon.
Why? Because South Korea can still be called a very conservative country as can also be seen in the drama series, and for someone as popular as Seohyun playing a lesbian character in a 2 episode drama series is something very admirable.
So, on to the drama. It focuses on these 3 women and these 2 kids. The 3 women include Anna, and her mother; a struggling singer, and the 2 kids who are from different backgrounds.
Anna and her mother do not have the most ideal of relationships, which will be the main focus in the drama series. Now, what made me love this drama so much, was of its impeccable story-telling, and the musical score.
The scenes were all beautifully shot and I kept crying in intervals through out the 2 episodes. And it wasn't just because of how relatable the whole storyline was, but because the scenes were so well shot and captured.
I loved everything about the series, the slow but still meaningful progression, the character development. I could go on and on, which I shouldn't be doing, because you guys have to go watch the series now.
I couldn't find the 2 episodes with english subtitles except for some really kind Twitter user who had translated them and put them in drive. So, below are the drive links to the episodes. I hope you guys enjoy! :)
