-Your pov

I examined myself in the mirror to make sure that I had no flaws. I'm not over or underdressed, but I still look nice. My nerves are going absolutely crazy. As long as I don't get too clumsy, I should be fine. I checked my phone to make sure that I wasn't running late when I heard the doorbell.

"Coming!" I shouted before looking at my reflection one more time. I rushed down the steps and opened the door to see Jason.

"I         I hope I'm not too early." He said while smiling at me. I could tell that he was pleased with my appearance.

"No not at all. Please come in." I replied before opening the door more to give him room to step inside.

"I wanted to make sure that you got her back before we go eat." He explained before showing me my doll. My jaw dropped at the sight of her. She looked brand new.

"Jason." Was as all I could say as I took her into my arms. Every detail was flawless. It was as if that customer never set foot in the shop. I set her down on a shelf and immediately wrapped my arms around him.

"You weren't lying when you said that you would squeeze me in half." He said before laughing a little.

"You have no idea how much this means to me." I whispered before eventually letting go. He opened his mouth to say something, but then he paused and simply smiled before wiping the tears off my face. I smiled and grabbed my bag before we stepped outside.

"So where would you like to eat?" I asked. Jason was quiet for a moment as he looked around.

"Perhaps F/r?" He said before my face lit up. I smiled before we walked down the sidewalk. We were lost in conversation the whole way. There was never a moment of awkward silence even when we were eating. As the day went on I noticed that he seemed troubled by something. He always said that it was noting whenever I brought it up. It was concerning me when we left the restaurant. He looked sad. It hurt to see him like this. I held his hands and gently swung them side to side to try and comfort him. I was confused when his eyes went blank.    He looked like he was put in a trance.

"Are you ok,   Jason?" I asked while his gaze remained on our hands. He blinked a few times before he snapped out of his trance.

"Y-ya     I'm ok." He replied quietly. I was nervous. Perhaps I'm making him uncomfortable. I started to move my hands from his, but then his grip tightened so I stayed. It almost looked like tears were forming in his eyes.

"Hey. Jason you know that you can talk to me about anything troubling you,   right?" I asked before he nodded his head and smiled.

"You being here makes it better, Y/n." He replied. I couldn't help but get lost in his eyes. It felt like he was getting lost in mine. I've fallen for him. I just hope he feels the same.

I couldn't help but look into her e/c eyes. I missed her so much. If only she knew. She was slowly getting closer to me. I didn't think much of it until her face reached out to mine. She was going to kiss me. She's not supposed to. This is not what was supposed to happen. I panicked slightly and my breath hitched as I turned my head away from her. I tried to be smooth about it, but not smooth enough. Her eyes said it all.

"I'm       I'm sorry." She stuttered. Her eyes were slowly but surly filling with tears.

"I guess    I was reading the wrong signs." She said before taking a couple steps back. She mumbled something before running down the empty road. I called and chased after her but she wouldn't stop. She's hurt and it's my fault. I sighed as she faded into the pouring rain before going to my door. I heard a squeaking noise as I made my way down the hall. I sighed before turning the corner to see Puppeteer putting away the hose.

"Puppeteer, what the hell.  Honestly, why?" I asked as he wiped his hands dry. He looked at me as if he wasn't impressed.

"I could see it a mile away before she even tried.  She likes you Jason.  And it's more than just a friend." He explained before we started putting dolls away. It was awkward silence for a while until we finished.

"You have a bond with her.  Isn't that what you wanted Jason?   Why won't you let her love you?" He asked to break the silence. I felt myself get a little irritated. I told him my whole plan. He should know why.

"That wasn't supposed to happen.  It can't happen. She'll hate me after Maria gives her the last dream.  My plan will backfire.   What do I do when she hates me?" I replied. He took a deep breath while approaching me and looked straight into my eyes.

"Let her go?            Like you should have?" He replied with almost a tense, frustrated tone. He's not trying to make me mad, but he's not going to sugarcoat his words either. The atmosphere around us was getting tense.

"I've been alone for so long Puppeteer. I never had another child here for one reason." I said before Maria walked in. She looked at us for a moment before we gave each other a little more space.

"I can't let go.  Even if I wanted to, I can't." I finished before sitting on the couch.

"At least give her a chance Jason. Being in a relationship with her might be what you need." Puppeteer said. I was still very unsure about his suggestion. I was only after her friendship. Having something more than that never crossed my mind.

"He's not saying you have to or all is lost.   He's saying that it's worth a shot." Maria added while standing next to Puppeteer. I couldn't get myself to speak. My mind was everywhere. Puppeteer sighed.

"Look,   just think about it at least. I got some things I need to do. I'll see you tomorrow." He said before leaving. Maria looked at me one more time before going to her room. I'm alone with my thoughts now. My plan was going smoothly, and now I screwed up. But it's not too late. I can still fix it.
