There are many places where people go when they die.

Death, hell, the grave, Abraham's bosom, the sea, Paradise, the pit, under the altar in heaven.

Genesis 35:20  "And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day."

These are usually a place where people are place upon death, like a sepulchre. Note these are holding cells, or slotted space or room for the dead.

However only certain people go here.

Ezekiel 32:23  "Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living."

Now grave here is also #H6913 qeber qibrah. Yet this "grave" is in the side of a pit. And unlike the grave of Abraham, which are room for the dead. This "grave is in the sides of the pit and is used for imprisoning people who had caused terror other on earth.

Ezekiel 32:22-26, 28-32  Asshur is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:
