♈3rd Person's Pov♈

"The sea is like mortals..They have no beginning nor end..But they have their content..Don't you agree with me my child?"A long blonde haired woman said..She was Mavis Vermillion, though it may seem as if she is a child, she is already more than 1000 years old..

Beside her was another blonde..But compared to Mavis, her hair was more of a deep yellow rather than pale..This was Lucy Heartfilla, Mavis' considered apprentice and adopted daughter..

"Yes..I agree First Master.."Lucy replies as her chocolate brown orbs stare blankly at the sea..Mavis noticed her indifferent stare so she puts her hand on Lucy's head,"I'm sure your parents will come back..They must just have missed their ride here.."

"Mn..Maybe.."

They waited until the stars climbed up to the sky and sparkles like gemstones in a cave..Lucy's bangs covered her eyes before turning her back,"They...They won't be coming.."She murmurs before walking away..

Mavis didn't stop the 9 year old but stared at her fading back,"You're right..They won't be coming anytime sooner—"She stops, turning towards the sea,"—I'm afraid to tell you the truth..My child.."

Meanwhile, In A Field♉

"So your parents still hadn't come back yet? What disgusting creatures.."A green haired teen says as he presses his back against the thick Spruce Tree and closing his eyes as if bored..

Lucy follows suit and nods,"Yeah..I don't get why they abandoned me with First Master..Did I do anything wrong?Enkidu?"

The green head named Enkidu frowned, his onyx eyes suddenly being revealed,"No..You've done nothing wrong Lucy..Maybe they were just short on money and couldn't afford the expenses to care for you.."

"Ne Enkidu..Do you have a family?Do they treat you kindly?"Lucy asks once more as she looks at him..Enkidu stares at her for a moment before smiling..She reminded him of a certain goldie in Uruk," Yeah..They treat me well.."He answers..

The blonde chirps," Lucky you..It's been 7 years since they went on that ride.."She says..

"You know..Sometimes it's like that..We don't always get what we want..But even so, I believe everything happens for a reason..Maybe the gods did this so you will grow mature and know the meaning of life.."Enkidu explained..

Lucy giggles before laying her head on Enkidu's lap,"You still believe in Gods huh..I wonder if they're really real.."

Enkidu's smile stayed on his face as he combs Lucy's hair,"Trust me..They really are.."He mutters..The blonde reaches her small frail hand to touch Enkidu's cheek which caught him by surprise..

"Even if they are real..We shouldn't be bossed around..Because I believe that everyone has their own choices..And if Gods don't go by that principle, I'd just take my own life.."She says grinning..

Enkidu's smile was still there, but it wasn't as geniuine as it was before, 'If I told you they don't..Would you really take your own life?'He thought as he holds Lucy's hand, his onyx eyes becoming indifferent..

"Enkidu?"Lucy calls out in concern..He sighs before pinching the bridge of her nose,"Oww what was that for?"

"There's only one thing I have to say about that principle of yours.. You shouldn't reprimand yourself to that obligation of dying..For there will come a time when people will need you.. And if you are already dead, what will happen to them?"

Lucy was now the one caught in surprise by the green head's answer..She giggled before grinning cheekily once more," I'll live then! I'll live to fight for the world I was made in!Will you as well Enkidu?!"She asks..

He chuckles and nods as they continued to watch the stars..

'Sadly..I'm not made in this world.. I'm sorry Lucy...'
