Lies
We all lie.
We are surrounded by lies.
Some people lie to hurts others,
Some lie to destroy lives.
Some lie to make the day seem brighter and the world seem happier.
Personally, I lie to keep from hurting others.
I try to protect them from the truth.
I lie to try and save them from heartache.
I lie because I care,
I care too much.
I lie because I'm so scared to hurt someone.
But honestly, it just ends up worse in the end.
My lies hurt me and them.
My lies have convinced me I'm a horrible person,
No matter the reason why I lie.
I may lie out of the goodness in me.
But I'm a terrible person because of it.
If only I had told the truth.
I wouldn't be as hurt
And others wouldn't be hurting.
Why do I love the way I do?
My love makes me lie,
And my lies only hurt,
So how is that love?
I dont know.
Maybe my fears control me more than I thought.
And that makes life so much harder.
I'm done with my lies...
