Masters and Students

Karina's POV

The decepticon returned to it's home base. My tears have dried up, but I still miss my cousin. But I know Bee and the autobots will keep him safe. I'm sad I can't help him with our volcano project. Hopefully he passes for both of us. The decepticon lands and heads inside.

He goes to the bridge where Star-Scream is. "Ah, Soundwave. Cue the audio/visual. I wish to address the troops" he tells the decepticon holding me. Soundwave presses a button and Star-Scream begins to address the troops.

"The loss of Megatron, leader of the great Decepticon uprising, is certainly a blow to our cause. Yet we mustn't despair over his tragic demise but instead embrace his ultimate sacrifice and build upon the foundation he laid with an even mightier hand" he tells them.

"With all due respect, Commander Star-- Uh, lord Starscream" a lower decepticon says.

"Yes yes" Starscream says looking annoyed at being interrupted.

"What is it? If we failed to conquer earth under lord Megatron's command, what hope do we have now while the autobots still defend it?" the decepticon asks him.

"Allow me to crystal clear" Starscream states. "I studied for millennia under our former master.Thus, I am equipped to lead you -- I, Megatron's true heir, lord Starscream, emperor of destruction!" he tells them. They all remain silent and he ends the broadcast. Turning to Soundwave who is still holding me. "What use are troops who can't rise to the task of inflicting unspeakable destruction in my name?" he asks him.

He looks down at me. "Is this the human with an energon source?" he asks.

"I don't have anything, let me go" I tell him annoyed. "Besides you're nothing, what's a master without a student?" I ask him.

"Ah, but wait. Legend tells of one capable warrior, one who exists here, upon this very planet, one who can be student to my master" he says smirking. "Thank you human, Soundwave lets go and bring the human" he orders.

"I have a name" I grumble and they ignore me. I wonder what Raf is doing right now? I hope he isn't letting my absence affect his school work.

(Autobot Base) Third Persons POV

Bee, Arcee and Bulkhead are helping their human charges with they're school projects. Ratchet approached a grim looking Optimus. "Optimus, why so glum? This planet -- all planets -- Are finally free from Megatron's tyranny and we will retrieve Karina" he tells him.

"I do not disagree, Ratchet. It's just A small part of me hoped to change Megatron's mind, not extinguish his spark" Optimus tells him.

"Optimus, his vileness was not slain by your hand but by his own twisted arrogance" Ratchet tells him. "I'm sorry" he says apologizing. "I know the two of you had quite a history" he says.

"But the Megatron whom I once fought beside perished eons ago, the day he chose to become a decepticon. The Decepticons may be in disarray, but they aren't without leadership. And while Starscream is no Megatron, he is far from predictable. And has Karina hostage" Optimus tells him. There was a sudden explosion and they ran towards it thinking the decepticons were attacking.

"It's no attack, Ratchet.It's my volcano. Or was" Raf explains as it deflates. "Karina was always better at the hand on experiments" he grumbles.

"Hold still, bulkhead. Jupiter needs its red spot. Whoopsie" Miko says when the red paint drips on the floor. While Bulkhead holds her model of the solar system up.

"What in the allspark is going on in here?" Ratchet demands. Jack and Arcee look up from the bike they're working on.

"Our projects are due tomorrow" Jack tells him.
