~Chapter 25~

Laughing Jack's POV~~

I laid there next to her, while keeping my arms around her. I wanted to be careful, as I didn't want to hurt her or grip her too tightly. I still couldn't believe it. Issac was alive. I sighed, focusing on Amy. I wasn't gonna let him hurt her again. "It hurts a lot, J-Jackie........." I could hear her whimpering softly. I pulled Amy closer to me. "I know, lollipop." I muttered, nuzzling her gently. "I know." I could see she could barely keep her eyes open. "Try to get some sleep." That's when I saw her tense up. "Don't worry, Amy. I'll be right here. Nothing will happen to you two. I promise." She nodded slowly before she snuggled closer to me and fell asleep. I just watched her, and I couldn't fall asleep. I wanted to keep an eye on her, but I eventually felt my eyes starting to close after a while until I finally drifted off too.

I groaned as I heard someone call my name. ".........JACK!" I slowly opened my eyes and once they were fully opened, my heart dropped. Slender was standing at the end of Amy's bed with his arms crossed. And I knew he wasn't happy. "We need to talk, Jack." I sighed before looking at him. ".........I know what your gonna say........." "You KNOW it's against our nature to fall for a human!" I heard him snarl and I saw his tendrils start to unveil themselves from his back. I flinched. I knew he was angry with me for falling for Amy and conceiving a baby with her. "They are our prey! Not lovers! And they will be nothing bu-" "AND I DON'T CARE!!" I snapped, as I gripped Amy closer to me with my fists tightened. Slender looked shocked that I spoke up to him. I breathed in and out slowly before I calmed down. "Look........." I sighed heavily before I turned my gaze back to Amy. She was still sleeping. Good. I didn't want her awake for this. "I know it's wrong to fall for a human. But you don't KNOW Amy. You don't understand how happy she makes me. I haven't felt this way in a long time. You out of everyone should know that." I gently kissed her cheek before looking back up at him. "I lost her once when she was little, and I lost her for three months. I'm NOT gonna lose her again. I won't let ANYONE take her away from me. Especially YOU." He didn't say anything. I sighed heavily before returning my gaze to Amy once more. "And........I love her. I love her so much. We.......We made love on her birthday. I was gentle and passionate with her. I.......I got her pregnant that night by accident, but......I'm happy. She's carrying my baby. Our baby. I gave her a family she's always wanted. A child she's always wanted. And I love both of them so much." I glared at slender as I spoke before looking back at Amy's sleeping figure. "She fixed me. She gave me emotions and feelings again. I can't ever thank her enough. I was given a second chance, and I met Amy when she was five and I was six. She's my second chance to start over, to make amends for what I did in the past. And I won't lose her or our child." He sighed softly. "LJ......" "Just.............leave us alone for a little bit. Please." I muttered, not even taking my eyes off of Amy. He slowly turned away before speaking. "Fine. But I'll be back to change her bandages later. And we're not finished with this conversation." With that said, he teleported away. I sighed softly before snuggling Amy. "Don't worry lollipop.........." I gently caressed her cheek before kissing her softly. 

"I won't ever lose you again......
