~Chapter 3~

Laughing Jack's POV~~

I watched as little Amy fell back asleep. I don't know why but I gently pulled the covers over her before sitting down beside her again. I was confused, as I watched her small chest rise and fall. Why do I want her to be my fwiend? I thought to myself. I should not like her, yet I feel that I want her to be my fwiend. What are these confusing feewings?!  I sighed, frustrated. She....she feels....diffewent.....than the othews..... I looked at her again, seeing her sleep peacefully, clutching her teddy bear. She looked so cute. I gently ran a hand through her hair, smiling softly. Strange.....I've newer had......this feewing before in a long time. Not since........him. I feel like....I want to....pwotect her. I heard a small groan and looked up to see my best fwiend was awake.

Amy's POV~

I woke up, and rubbed my eyes, before I saw Jack sitting next to me. He looked up at me, and smiled. "Hi best fwiend!" he said with a smile. "H-Hi..." I replied softly, holding my teddy bear close and slowly sat up. I tried to smile, but my head was hurting. "Ow...." I whimpered, holding my head. "It still huwts?" He asked. I nodded slowly, my head throbbing and tears pricking my eyes. I felt two arms pick me up and slowly place me on the ground. It was Jack! I walked out of the tent, wobbling slightly. I tripped, and was falling down. "AH!" I squeaked, but before I fell something wrapped around me. I looked up, and saw it was Jack! He smiled warmly at me and placed me back on my feet again. "Be caweful fwiend!" He giggled, looking at me softly. "You almost fell." "T-Thank you," I shakily replied. "Your welcome." He followed behind me, making sure I didn't fall again. When I reached the tent entrance, I lifted the flaps and gave a surprised gasp. Outside, was a carnival! He chuckled. "Have you ewer been to a cawnival befowe?" I looked at him, and shook my head. "Mommy never took me to one before..." I said, looking down. "She wants to, but....never has time for me." He sighed, before he held my hand, and smiled. "Well then, let's expwore! We can have lots of fun togewer!" My big blue eyes widened and I looked at him surprised. "R-really?" I asked. "Yeah!" He giggled, before taking my small hand and showed me around the carnival. We had so much fun! We played games, went on rides, and got cotton candy! I was laughing. I've never had so much fun! I started to feel sleepy, and he noticed. "Feel tiwed best fwiend?" He asked, picking me up. I nodded, before falling asleep in his arms.

Laughing Jack's POV~~

I smiled, seeing she was asleep. We had so much fwun today! I thought. I figuwed she'd be tired. I teleported back to the big tent and placed her gently on the bed before placing the covers over her and sitting beside her. I smiled softly, watching her small form get comfortable. She's the first friend I've had in a long time since..........since..........Isaac.....
