47. Baby's First Word

Sophie will be celebrating her first birthday soon and me and Shawn can't wait for her to turn a year old. We can't believe where time has gone. Our little girl is almost a year old. So exciting. We are going to have a big party for her birthday. We are almost done planning it. I am about to pick Sophie up from nursery. She goes to nursery when I'm at work so I'm picking her up. Shawn is in the studio but he's finishing a bit earlier and he should be home around the same time as us. I arrive at nursery and park my car and go in and get Sophie. She was all ready to go and I bring her outside to the car. As I am buckling her in the car, she points at me and says "Mamma, mamma". "Oh my gosh. You're first word, baby girl. How wonderful? Can't wait to let your daddy know" I say. We set off back home and arrive about 25 minutes later. Shawn will be back in a few minutes. I get Sophie in and change her as she needs a change. As I'm upstairs, Shawn walks in and we go downstairs. "Shawn, guess what?" I say immediately. "What, love?" he replies. "Sophie just said her first word when I picked her up" I say. "Why doesn't she say if for me? I think I know what it's gonna be" he said. "Well you might be surprised" I reply. "Mamma" Sophie said. "Mamma. That's your first word. Awww I thought it would be dada. I'm disappointed" Shawn said. "I'm sure she'll say dada soon, babe" I say. "I'm proud of you anyway, Soph" he said kissing Sophie on his cheek. Sophie's first word was mamma. Ahhhh I'm such a proud mamma

His POV

Me and Y/ N can't believe Aiden is nearly a year old. He'll be turning 1 in the next few weeks. Can't wait for his birthday. We already have so much planned for him for his birthday. I have Aiden in the studio with me today. I'm working on new music. Y/ N had to go uni for lectures but she'll be here soon for my last couple of hours in the studio. I love having my son at work. He sits with the producers and watches me while I record songs in the sound booth. I am recording a new song I wrote with my good friends RoadTrip recently. It's a love song. Aiden is sat on the producers lap watching me. Y/ N will be here soon. I carry on recording till she turns up. She walks in and picks up Aiden and I wave to her. I hear Aiden shouting "Daddy" as I'm recording. I stop what I'm doing. "Wait, babe. Did he just say daddy?" I say. "Yes he did, babe. Our boy just said daddy" she said. I run out of the recording booth and praise Aiden. "Yes, Aiden. You just said daddy. I'm so proud of you, son" I say taking him from Y/ N. "Daddy" he screams. "Yep that's it. I'm daddy" I smile. Y/ N smiles too. "I always knew his first word would be daddy" I say. "I did too" she said. Y/ N and Aiden stays to watch me finish my day in the studio. Extra special as my boy was there and his first word was daddy. I'm such a proud daddy of Aiden

The babies will be turn 1 years old in the next few days. We can't believe Cian, Cillian and Cora are going to be a year old. The last year has flown by so quick. They are all of worlds and mean everything to us. We couldn't imagine our lives without the three of them. The triplets are all playing together on the floor in the lounge. They all play nicely together and me and Niall love watching them play. They are all so adorable. Sometimes they snatch toys from each other but we just have to watch them. "Can I get you a cup of tea, love?" Niall asks. "Sure I'd love that please, my sweet" I reply. Niall goes into the kitchen to make me a tea while I wait and watch the little ones play. He comes back a few minutes later with my tea just the way I like it. "Thank you, baby" I say. "You're welcome, baby" he said kissing my lips. "Hey. You guys having fun" Niall said. "Dada, dada" Cillian said pointing at Niall. "He just said Dada, dada" he said. "He did. Yay, Cillian!" I say. "He just said his first word. Now we just need Cora and Cian to say their first word" Niall said. "We do" I say. Cora shuffles over to me and I pick her up. "No" she said. "Cora, why did you say no?" Niall said. "No" she said again. We both laugh. So does Cora. I guess that's her first word too. A few days later, Cian said his first word which was also dada. Our little leprechauns are growing up too fast
