I am 35 weeks on in my pregnancy now so the triplets are considered full term and need to be born soon. Could be anytime now. Niall and I are ready for whenever they tell us they need to be born. Everything is ready for the triplets and we can't wait to meet them. We are heading to the hospital this afternoon for my weekly check up and examination. Since I hit 30 weeks I have been going for appointments. We are on our way now to the hospital. "Don't worry, babe. It will all be fine. We could be meeting our little ones sooner than expected. Maybe even today" Niall said. "Yeah hopefully. I'm not worried. Just eager to find out how it's going" I reply. We arrived at the hospital and take a seat in the waiting area and wait to be called in by Dr Brown, my obstetrician. She calls us in a few minutes later and starts examining me. "So how have you been feeling, Y/ N?" she asks. "Good. Just really tired all the time but fine in myself" I reply. Niall sits beside me and holds my hand. "So how's it going with the babies?" he asks. "Well they have all grown quite significantly in the last few weeks. You are 35 weeks now, Y/ N and we consider that full term in a triplet pregnancy so it's best if we get these babies out before they get too big. I've scheduled you a c section for 3:30pm this afternoon in fact" Dr Brown said. "Okay that's good. Our babies will be here today" I reply. "They will be. You have a while to go home and get organised. We will need you here about hour and a half before your c section so we can get you prepped" she said. Niall smiles at me as we leave the hospital. "See I knew today would be the day our babies will come" he said. "Yeah you were right, Ni. Not long now but I'm feeling kinda nervous though" I reply. "Don't be, sweetheart. I'll be right by your side" Niall smiles. We leave the hospital and go home to get ready for my c section. We let our families that our babies are coming today
Niall and I spent about 3 hours at home getting ready for going to the hospital for my c section. We were getting the stuff together and getting ready for our babies being born today. Not long now. Ahhhh. So excited but also a little nervous too. We make our way to the hospital so we're there for an hour and a half before my scheduled c section. Niall will be with me in the operating room and I will be awake throughout the procedure so I'll be able to see and here the babies being born. We arrive and I get taken into a room and they get me ready and prepped for my c section. "Almost time. An hour to go" Niall said as we were waiting in the room. "I know. It's so soon now. Our gorgeous babies will be here soon" I reply. He touches my hand and smiles and kisses me. Less than an hour later, I get taken through to the operating room. Niall gets into some scrubs and goes in with me. "Anytime now" he said as they were numbing me up with anaesthetic for the c section. He sits by me and holds my hand. The surgeon starts the c section by making an incision on my lower abdomen. The first baby is born a few minutes later. Baby A, Cian. We heard him cry and it was a beautiful moment. A few minutes later the second baby was born. Our second son, Cillian and then lastly our little girl Cora was born. They all cried as soon as they were born which was a great sign. "They are all here now. Can't wait to see them soon" Niall smiles. "Me too" I smile. Our three beautiful babies are finally here and me and Niall couldn't be happier
We got to see the babies about an hour after they were born. They are in the neonatal unit as they are all small and need extra care for a new weeks so they will be kept in hospital for a little while. I was pretty sore after the c section so Niall wheeled me into the NICU to see the triplets. The midwife told us where they were. We sterilised our hands so we didn't bring infection into the NICU. "Look our babies, Niall. Our angels" I say. "Yes our little angel. Look at them, Y/ N. They are so tiny and precious" he replies. "They are" I said with a tear in my eye. Niall stands next to me and has a tear in his eye too. We could touch the babies too and feel their soft skin. Awwww I can't believe how precious and tiny they are. So adorable. We couldn't hold them just yet but we did a bit later as we could stay a while. We were both really nervous about holding them but we were really careful with them. Niall was a nervous wreck bless him. The midwives also wanted me to pump some milk to give to the babies later. They also say breast is best. Anyway it's amazing that Cian, Cillian and Cora are here safely. They will be in the hospital for at least a month but me and Niall will be here everyday without fail
