𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐞

even here

you sat there as you always have
a mind full of thoughts that inspire me
and of words that move me.
I breathed in the last scents of
a life I had led that was full of regrets
and sat down next to you there.
you looked at me and you smiled.
it was then that my old life was over and
so began this new life that I revel
to say is the happiest I've ever led.
in it there are blue flowers that bloom
against the forever sunny sky.
here there is a sense of laughter and
joy that I have never before known.
and in it all is your smiling face.
your joyful and angelic voice.
your cute way of laughing softly
to yourself.
and your beautiful eyes behind
your glasses.
smile at me one more time
and I will probably melt.
you write your poetry and I write mine
and I pray that maybe one day we'll
write poetry for one another.
It is miraculous how many possibilities
swirl in between our words.
I wish you could see the way
I was blushing in the dim lighting.
something about you makes
my heart beat faster than it ever should.
something about the few moments
that we spent in that small room
is better than all the moments I've
ever had in years.
you remind me that life is worth living
and that happiness can be found anywhere.
even here.
