(Y/N) POV

'Man it feels great to be out of there.' I was walking out, still super dark as I was walking back to my dorm. The plan was to surprise her when I get to Beacon and have the day with just the two of us, I'll do the deal and hopefully more, but not that far though. After that long walk, I finally made it to Beacon, with a warm welcome of empty hallways and quiet rooms. Things are probably going to change, maybe people will see the problems, or they will just think that I deserved it, who knows. However, one thing keeps me going now... Ruby. I w-want to b-be with you (Y/N), and not because of pity... because I l-love you;' 'So please... don't leave me...' She always kept me going, either with distraction, affection, and/or attention. 'She's one in a billion, I'll say.' I walk down into my dorm, enter, take a proper shower, change and wait to see Ruby. I'm only assuming that Ozpin will let Ruby take the day off, since she is heavily involved with the incident, but I'll take the chance. After getting ready, I exit back out to Vale. Still super early, but 'eh, whatevs.' I check around the place, getting ideas of what we could do. I found the bakery, the theater, a park, and so much stuff to do. After I finish adventuring around, I tiredly return to my humble abode. Hoping to just pass out, I put my pajamas, crawl into bed, and close my eyes. The silence and darkness was not fearful, but calm and soothing. Suddenly, I hear my doorknob being attempted to open. I sat straight up, heart beating fast, 'who is that? Do they know I'm here?' Many things ran through my head, when

Ruby: "Huh? Why is the door locked? Wait... (Y/N)? You in there?"

I exhale from my sudden jump scare, get up and open to see an adorable rose in possibly the cutest pajamas ever. I blush, trying not to stare,

(Y/N): "H-hey Ruby, long time no s-"

I'm tackled to the floor with Ruby on me,

Ruby: "(Y/N)!! I didn't know you were here. Why didn't you tell me?!"

She's super close to my face, with a saddened look. My heart then again sped up, my face was burning hotter than 200°F. It was incredibly difficult to keep my composure.

(Y/N): "W-w-well, I was g-going to surprise
y-you, hehehehe."

Her frown went upside down, as in she was happy.

Ruby: "Ohhhhhh, makes sense. You'd be the 'surprising' type, so I understand."

I didn't get it, until she gave me a wink. Then... I got it, and the memory from Yang sprang back into my brain, 'Remember, she's only 15 years old. Try something and I'll rip you limb by limb, got it?' I panic a little, thinking this might happen.

(Y/N): "Hehehe... oh by the way, what were you doing coming over to my dorm?"

Ruby: "Oh yeah, I usually slept here, hoping for you to get better."

'Awww, she did that for me?' I don't know what happened to me, but I felt so great all of a sudden, that I smiled. A good one, and I can tell she enjoyed that. 'I hope I can make her happy.' We hear my door open out of nowhere,

Yang: "Hey Ruby you forgot-..."

My. Heart. Stopped... I swiftly got up, set Ruby down gently, and proceeded to prepare to run for my life... but she just sat there with a smirk.

Yang: "Well... well... well. What do we have here? Making moves so early? Forget what I told you already?"

She had this evil smirk that made my blood run cold. She then started to laugh her butt of.

Yang: "Oh my Oum, your have was priceless. I'm definitely sure this was either an accident or Ruby."

Ruby just stood there confusing, then blushing madly,

Ruby: "WHAT?! NO! That's gross!"

When she said that, I was confused. 'Why is she so innocent now? She wasn't like that a while back.'

Yang: "Okay, moving that aside, here you forgot your things."

She looks at me in a don't ask way. Ruby said her thanks and Yang left. Now I had to ask,

(Y/N): "Ruby? I'll be frank asking, but you being innocent with Yang was completely different before she showed up."

Without missing a beat, she responds

Ruby: "Yeah, thanks to Blake and her 'novels' I know a lot of things, but knowing Yang she can't know. So shhhh for me?"

(Y/N): "Uhhh yeah no problem. Hey I'm pretty tired, how 'bout getting to bed?"

I yawned, which chained to her yawning.

Ruby: "Yeah I could get some sleep, and it's better now you're here."

She smiles brightly at me, 'Never gets old,' I crawl back into bed, with Ruby following. There's something different about this time. I can tell she's way closer and cuddly. As it was now dark and quiet, it was better with a warm rose next to you.

Ruby: "Hey (Y/N). I'm sorry, but I just have to."

I was confused as she sat up, and then... she straddles me!... my mind going a million miles a minute. Luckily it's dark enough to hide my blush. 'Oh no! Uh oh! Red alert!' Ruby started to giggle at me,

Ruby: "No (Y/N), it's not that, I just want to cuddle on top of you, nothing of that sort..."

I sigh, and I hear a mumble,

(Y/N): "Huh?"

Ruby: "Nothing! Let's get to sleep!"

She lays on top of me, getting comfy. While I, already, was super comfy with the light weight on me. 'I wonder what she was saying, oh well guess I'll never know.' I close my eyes, hold the delicate flower in my arms. Sleep... taking... me..

(Y/N): "Rubyyyyy, time to wake uppppp."

She tossed and turned, trying to cuddle to me as I tried to wake her up. Except I wasn't there, She open her eyes to see me all dressed for the day,

Ruby: "Hey, what's going on? You going somewhere?"

(Y/N): "No, we are going somewhere. I have to repay my debt and say thank you."

She shot up from my bed

Ruby: "We going for cookies?!"

(Y/N): "Yep, and we can do other stuff in Vale too."

Ruby: "Yay!"

She grab my hand drags me towards the door, heading for our small adventure...

In Vale

'Ruby is so energetic, it's unbelievable!' I thought as we were walking, or I was at least. Ruby on the other petal, was happily skipping along, like a cute innocent child. I couldn't help but admire that happiness in her. She turns to me,

Ruby: "So you have a bakery for us to go, or want to go to my favorite one?"

(Y/N): "I have an idea, but if you want to go to your favorite, let's go there instead."

Ruby: "Nah, I want to go where you pick."

It's amazing of how considerate she was, she is definitely an interesting one.

Ruby: "Well c'mon, show us the way good sir!"

(Y/N): "Yes.... m'lady"

I say with a slight bow, hand on my chest like a butler. 'Grghhh, the cringe!' She started laughing loudly,

Ruby: "Wow! That one is worse than Yang's puns. Or better? I don't know anymore!"

She continued to explode in laughter, figuratively instead.

(Y/N): "Alright alright, it was pretty bad. Now come on, we have the whole day ahead of us."

Ruby calmed down, still ecstatic as usual.

Ruby: "Okay! Let's Go!"
