They started chanting prayers to their god emperor as the red blood started boiling slowly rotting away more and more until it turned completely black consuming everything that there was,dirt,rock,living things,magma,anything in it's way as it started shrinking more and more until it was no smaller than a ball of tennis
And it dissapeared
All the warriors in the spaceships rejoiced as this meant it was a success,if it was a failure then it would have exploded taking with it half of all creation with it
"And now we wait"said the warlord as,they all went back to their original homeland waiting for the day their emperor would come back
