Adalyn Forrester has seen some shit. She was a bartender before the world went to hell, which basically gives her an ability to detect when things are about to go haywire. It also gave her good reason to learn how to shoot a gun. Drunk idiots know better than to mess with a pissed-off chick with a gun.
Let's just say that the rifle over the bar came in handy when the walkers showed up. She learned quickly that headshots were the only way to get them down.
She supposed she was lucky when Abraham Ford, Rosita Espinosa, and Eugene Porter rolled into town looking for a place to rest. They had firepower, manpower, hell all the power needed to survive. They were heading to D.C. to help Eugene, a scientist, figure out just what the hell happened to the world. Addy wasn't going to turn up a free trip to somewhere safer. She wasn't stupid.
But then things change. Eugene isn't really some top-of-the-charts scientist, he's just a coward. And none of them know what they'll find in D.C., but at this point, they've gone too far to turn back. And to make matters worse, Adalyn thinks she might be falling in love when they cross paths with Rick Grimes and his group.
With the world falling apart, Adalyn has to make a decision. Keep the human parts of herself, or get lost to the apocalypse? Either way, it's difficult. And Rick Grimes's presence certainly isn't helping.
