Zealand Green^

- - -Zealand's POV- - -

"Fuck"

I knock my annoying phone off my bedside table. It rings a few more times before stopping. As you can tell, I'm not a morning person. Pretty sure it's been at least five minutes, and all I've done is stare at the ceiling.

Let's run over the basics. My name is Zealand Green like New Zealand. My current living place is Camden, Maine. I'm 17 and will be for another two months. I don't eat enough so yes I am skinny. My brown hair compliments my light brown eyes, if I do say so myself. I keep up with my appearance unlike most people.

I get out of bed to do my morning routine. My feet touches the cold floor and a shiver runs up my spine. I just let it run though me and I carry on.

I come up from washing my face and I see my reflection in the mirror.

I'm cut short from thinking as my mom yells "Zealand, hurry up or you won't be able to eat breakfast." I grumble an "okay" and stumble to put on my clothes.

I choose a pink Devil button down and black ripped jeans with black vans. I run my finger through my hair so it looks like I did something.

Once I'm sorta satisfied with my outfit, I head downstairs.

"Good morning Zealand," everyone greets me when I sit down at the island. I see my two sisters, Olivia and Ava waiting on their phones.

I don't have to wait long until my mom sets down a plate of French toast in front of me.

My dad looks at me over his glasses. "I suggest you hurry up if you don't want to be late to school."

After hurriedly eating my food, I follow it with apple juice and grab my book bag.

My keys are waiting on the rack so I grab them. Now you'd think, why is a 17 year old driving by himself.

Truth is I don't know. I have a permit so I guess my parents trust me enough.

Stupid mistake.

I hop into my Cadillac CT5 Sedan. I love my precious baby.

As I'm about to pull off, my sisters run out of the house.

Ava gets to me first. "Zea, can you take us to school?"

Sometimes it fucking sucks going to the same school.

"H-Hurry up and get in," I respond.

They buckle up and I drive off.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
15 minutes go by and we finally pull into the school's parking lot. I really dislike driving them because they fight over the aux cord the whole time.
My sisters get out and I wait a few second before I start to get out. I'd rather not be seen with them.
I grab my book bag and lock the doors. I catch a glimpse of my only two friends waiting for me.
On my walk over, they're squealing and dancing like monkeys. It has only been a three day weekend.
Unfortunately.
Callie jump hugs me and I stumble on my feet. Kace stands back and shakes his head at her.
"Zea I missed you!," Cal screams in my ear.
I sighed. "I missed you too Cal but quit bursting my eardrum every time."
She mumbles a "sorry" and gets off me. She stands by Kace and looks around.
Kace and I do our handshake that we've had for years.
"Let's go before we be late," Kace ushers us into the school.
Welcome to Greenfield High School, home of the lemurs.
