In a small room, a girl picks up a phone from the queen sized bed. It's a small one, with dark little buttons. She dials a number, her fingers trembling. After a few rings, the call is answered. She waits.

"Hello Emma."

"Hello," She says, unsure of where to start.

"How are you doing?" The voice on the other end asks in the usual matter of fact tone. He still doesn't care. He'll never do.

Her fingers ball into fists as anger fills her system. She's breathing in quick, shallow breaths. After everything she has given him, she's still just another distraction for him after a long day's work. He will shower her with affection one day, ignore her the next.

But, he claims to love her. What a liar!

Tears well in her dark brown eyes. "You're going to pay for treating me like this," she says.

"What's going on, Emma?" He inquires.

That voice makes her feel like telling him everything and putting a stop to her evil plans. Despite the fact that he's a bastard, she still loves him. "Nothing but you'll regret playing me."

He chuckles. "Don't be so dramatic, Emma. I have a lot of work to do. Talk to you, later."

She places the phone on top of a notebook that is lying on the bed. He has never taken her seriously. But, she is going to make him.
