Your P.O.V

If I had known that I would've lost track of time at work, then I would've put another set of clothes in my car that didn't consist of sweatpants or tees and button-ups. It was currently five p.m. and I was running out of my building with my backpack slinging it into my passengers' seat. I still needed to pick up the groceries and flowers and onto of that Angelina's place was an hour out the city which I didn't know until I put it in the GPS running out the building. "What the fuck," I groaned to myself as I speed through the streets of New York as Sofia's name popped up on my phone causing me to pick up the phone pressing it to my ear as I swerved through the lanes. "I'm guessing since you aren't home yet that you still haven't left work?" She asked causing me to chuckle. "I'm actually in the car now. I'm heading towards the store now I've already preordered the groceries so all I have to do is pull up to the side and they'll put it in the car so that gives me enough time to stop for flowers and get on my way," I spoke as I got to the supermarket. I pulled around to the side of the building and up to the window, "Hello can I get a name for the order?" The blonde-haired man asked after I let my window down. "Y/L/N," I spoke causing him to nod before pointing towards the doors.

"Park and we'll have them right out," He spoke causing me to nod doing as asked. I let my trunk up as two boys came out store putting the groceries into my car causing me to thank them once they finished putting everything in the trunk and closing it. I quickly got back into the traffic groaning. "Do you ever get tired of New York?" I asked Sofia who was still on the phone. "Sometimes I mean you know I'd rather be in Florida or California but you're here and the project I'm currently working on is here," She spoke causing me to hum as traffic finally began to move. "I'm thinking a change of scenery would be nice. I mean I love the city but maybe somewhere quieter?" I spoke as traffic stopped again causing me to groan.

I saw a flower shop a couple of feet ahead causing me to look around at traffic noticing we weren't going to be moving for another ten minutes or so causing me to shrug turning my car off and getting out making sure to lock it before running through traffic and to the flower shop causing a couple of people to blow. "What's going on?" Sofia asked as I ran into the flower shop. "Oh, I just ran through traffic to the flower shop," I spoke grabbing a couple of roses red, white, and yellow obviously knowing the meaning before handing the woman behind the counter to quickly make me a bouquet of the dozen of roses I picked up causing me to quickly hand her a fifty not even worrying about the change as I quickly ran back out into the traffic towards my car as traffic began moving. "YOU DID WHAT?" Sofia screamed as I got back into the car sitting the flowers in the passenger seat as I started the car. "Well you're late," I spoke as I started the car and started the way to Angelina's house seeing it was only five-forty-three. "Well it's not every day you do stupid shit," Sofia spoke, and I could tell she was pissed because she never cursed unless she was. "Okay I admit that was kind of stupid, but it did save me some time. I mean traffic was already slow," I spoke causing her to huff.

"Whatever how far away is Angelina's place?" Sofia asked causing me to look at the GPS.

"It's an hour and three minutes from where I am now," I spoke pulling onto the freeway. "How's traffic?" Sofia asked as I finally relaxed in my seat. "It's not as bad as it was now that I'm out of the heart of the city," I spoke looking around. I was not a fan of New York I mean of course I knew what I was getting myself into when we moved here but I honestly was ready to move and soon.
"Hey I have to go Booboo is here," Sofia spoke causing me to raise an eyebrow. "Ouuu Booboo is there!" I mocked knowing that he had a crush on Sofia. "Hush. Good luck with your date and I want all the details when you get home," She spoke causing me to hum before she hung up. Sofia had been my best friend since we were little we practically grew up together. I was involved with her family than my own.
