It's kinda funny
How the thought of you
Brings a smile to my face
We don't know each other
I've never seen you before
I don't know your name
But it's almost like deja vu
My heart knows your smile
Your eyes and your voice
My memory flashes on a place
A scent on the wind
A dream wisps in at night
Phantom shadows fill my mind
Husky voice and bright eyes
Please let me not wake
A lean body takes shape
A face I adore
Hands touch
And make me melt
Arms wrap around me
A kiss that's a bare whisper
Eyes gaze into mine
A smile that touches my heart
Shadows creep in once more
A wind that plays with our hair
You take a step back
Your arms fall away from me
I frown as you whisper
I cannot hear you
You turn and walk away
A tear slides down my face
I cry out
I jerk awake
An open window lets in a breeze
Trees whisper in the distance
Tears burn paths down my cheeks
My body cold where you held me
A place burns where I can still
Feel your kiss
A faint scent alerts me
I look around, but see nothing
A trace of a smile as I realize
You were here with me
