Nightmares. Every child has them. That's what the monsters under the bed are for. To protect them from the horrific nightmares. People think these monsters are bad, terrifying and all they want to do is scare your children. None of that is true. The monsters that hide under the bed or in closets help children scare the nightmares off. Sometimes these monsters are defeated. That's the child's true fear showing. Your children ask you to look for the monsters because they want to feel safe when they sleep. Because the nightmares they have, are the real monsters under the bed.
