Me Just Being Me

Chapter 2

Curiosity flared in me. What was I? How could she be so quick to know what I was, who I was? What was up with her?

                Normally I would have just ignored it but just being me I looked into her eyes, "what am I?" I asked half heartily.

                Then Annabel looked at me with the most dumbfound expression, "oh my god!"

                 I looked away from their stares. They were all looking at me as if I was missing something really obvious. I looked around Annabel's room, looking, searching for a clue. I saw I few posters up on her walls. None of them special just like normal posters. She had some book shelves, that's good I liked to read. A second bed was sent up against the opposite wall from her bed. The bed was bare; I would have to fix that. Immediately

"so Katie, what do you like to do?" Nikky asked putting a finger to her lips.

 "Um.... Well I like to sing, and read, and umm go for walks I guess"  I  stared at my shoes feeling out of place.

"Perfect," Sophie litteratlly purred. I gazed about the room focusing on the popular band posters. I looked back at the girls hoping for a further explanation.

"What.. ok what are you guys talking about!?" I put my hands on my hips, getting really frustrated.

Ellie walked over with the magazine that she was flipping through in her hands. She paused before me trying to find a certain page. Her eyes lit up when she found her page. Everyone gathered around me, waiting for something.......

I pushed my thick brown hair behind my ears, letting my fingers linger there waiting to catch the few strays that dared escape. I looked down at the magazine to see a brightly colored advirtisment. i was temped to just push the paper away and call it scam, but something caught my eye.

"TALENT SEARCH!!!!" the headline read, "searching for undiscovered actress to play the leading lady in the new Untitled film staring Austin Linn" hmmmmm.... ;) "Requierments: ages 12-15, brown hair, medium length, 5 ft- 5 ft 8in, auditions Sept, 13" I took a step back and looked in the mirror at my wavy chocolate brown hair that went to the center of my back, 5ft 5in stance, and crystal blue eyes with navy blue on the outside. I know thats wierd since usually brown hair goes with brown eyes, but whatever,  i  guess im wierd.

"well....." Annabel drawled.

"Well what?" i know what she ment but i just... i dont know.

"Are you going to audition?"

"i dont know.... I've never really done anything like this! I cant act!" I huffed

"Katie. Is it ok that i call you Katie? Hope it is. OK good, now i knew the second that you walked in that you could do this. you walked into a room full of people you didnt know, and you walked in with an air of confidince around you. Your beautiful and talented, i can tell, and confindit. You can do this!" Ellie finished. I just stared at her wide eyed, she was a tiny thing to be able to hold that much air in her lungs.

"ok" i sighed. Great....
