You tossed and turned all night. 'You're not bad looking.' Echoed in your head, you got up pretty early since you couldn't sleep. You saw Elena standing at the door and a man with a burned suit on. Elijah, the original your brother had mentioned. "Elena!" You whisper yelled, you liked her and didn't want your brothers mad at her for undaggering him. She whipped around and put a finger to her lips, you walked closer. She signaled she was leaving with him, you shook your head no and pointed to yourself. Trying to tell her not without you. She looked at Elijah who was staring at you, he nodded that you could come with. Elena drives all three of us to the Lockwood mansion, Elijah has been drinking from a blood bag. "I apologize, where are my manners. I'm Elijah, you are?" He asked turned in his seat, " Y/N, Y/N Salvatore. Long story before you ask, short version still human I was in a witch induced coma for about 150 years." You explained quickly, he nodded. Elena parked in front of the Lockwoods and finally spoke to Elijah. "You look better." He ignored her and asked a question, "Where did you get the dagger?" So he's dealt with the dagger before. "I'll tell you everything. But we have to work together, Elijah. I need your word." Elena said carefully. "Your ability to make demands has long passed." Elijah said understandably bitter, he was stabbed in the back. You began to zone out a little letting them hash things out, you heard the echo in your mind again, 'not bad looking.' And just as quickly as you zoned out a phone ring tone snapped you back. "Yes, I'm fine." Elena said, you couldn't hear the other end, you assumed it was Stefan. "He's right here..... No, Stefan, Elijah and I need some time alone.... Elijah is a noble man, Stefan. He lives by a code of honor. I can trust him. He knows that I'd be incredibly stupid to betray him again. By removing the dagger, I have proven myself..... It's my decision, Stefan. Please respect it. And make sure that Damon doesn't do anything stupid. I'll be in touch." And with the last sentence she hung up. Elijah help his hand out and she put the phone in his hand. There was one thing of that whole side of the conversation you could hear, it didn't seem like your brother asked where you were. Maybe he thought you were still sleeping. "He's here." Elena said looking right at Elijah, "Klaus is here?" He said and sounded surprised. "He's taken over Alaric's body." You explained, "Of course he has. One of his favorite tricks."He said and looked at you, Elena began talking to him more. Finally the three of you got out of the car and walked up to the door and Carol opened it. "Elijah, Elena! What are you doing here? What happened? Who is that?" She questioned, you quickly introduced yourself as the youngest Salvatore who just left an all girls boarding school. "I've had a bit of an incident, Carol. I'm hoping you could help." Elijah said, "Well, I'm on my way to a meeting, so I-" before Carol could finish Elijah cut her off and compelled her. "It won't take but a minute of your time." She smiled and let us in. And let Elijah borrow one of her late husbands suits. Elena turned to you, "Why did you come with, Y/N?" She asked, "I'm not good at lying to my brothers, Damon would've known right away. He's always been able to tell when I'm lying." You explained, "Plus, I know he's noble but I don't want you to end up hurt." You added. She nodded. Elijah came back down stairs and Carol left. The three of you sat on the couch in the very large livingroom. "So I assume that the Martin witches are no longer with us." Elijah more of stated than asked. "No, I'm sorry." Elena shook her head. "And Katerina? She would've been released from my compulsion when I died." He asked, "How do you know her real name?" You asked in shock. "Klaus took her. We think that she may be dead." Elena ignored you. "I know her and her past miss Salvatore. And I doubt that. Not Klaus' style. Death would've been too easy for her after what she did." Elijah explained and answered your question. "I don't understand. You say that you want Klaus dead, but you still made Kathrine pay for betraying him." Elena said confused. "I have my own reasons for wanted Katerina to pay." Elijah began to explain.

"So it's not Aztec at all?" You asked Elijah when he was explaining about the Sun and the Moon curse, "The curse of the Sun and the Moon... is fake. It doesn't exist." Elijah said almost amused when he was looking and you and Elena. "What?" Elena said as Elijah turned to walk away, "Hold on you can't just drop a bomb like that and walk away!" You shouted jogging up to him. He stopped and Elena finally caught up to you both, "Klaus and I faked the Sun and the Moon curse dating back over a thousand years." He said looking at you. "But if there's no curse..." You trailed off knowing it still couldn't be good. "There's a curse. Just not that one. The real one's much worse. It's a curse placed on Klaus." He explained, "What are talking about?" Elena questioned, "Klaus has been trying to break it for the last thousand years. And you are his only hope." He look at Elena, you could hear her phone buzzing in Elijah's jacket pocket. "What is this curse?" She pressed, he took her phone out and handed it to her, "Your phone will not stop its incessant buzzing. Answer it, please." She grabbed it and started talking to Stefan. She had to leave, Klaus went after Jenna, Elijah was reluctant to let her go. "I'll stay here then, you know she will come back if she has to come get me." You offered to Elijah, he paused and mulled it over. "I give you my word I'll come back." Elena trying to seal the deal more. "Your word means nothing to me until you live up to it." Elijah said, with that Elena nodded and looked at you worried. "Elena I'll be fine, Elijah won't hurt me. Go to your Aunt, she needs you." You said, that was all she needed as she ran out to her car and left.
