Yesterday. Love. Nothing else matters to Lee Gabriel than Odyssey Lee. If love was a manifestation, iyon ay ang pag-ibig ni Lee. At unti-unti rin yong naram...
"Appetizer lang." He lied taking a bite on the pistachios. Truth be told, hindi pa siya nakakakain ng ganito. Although they have money when they were kids, his mom never served him nuts.
Sa labas lang siya nakakakain at wala siyang pera para bumili ng napakamahal na pistachio.
"Masarap pala 'to."
"You haven't eaten Pistachios before?" Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Dani before she realized her question is condescending.
Pero hindi naman 'yun minasama ni Odi.
"Ngayon pa lang." He said as he munched on some more. He tried to smile.
He should be happy. Kailangan niya nang makalimot. He has a big future ahead of him at dapat hindi niya na hinahayaan ang sarili niya na bumalik sa mga panahong nasa lusak siya. He made it this far and he shouldn't relapse.
"Masarap ba 'yang kinakain mo?" Turo niya sa fillet na kinakain ni Dani.
"Yeah. Kumain ka na kasi."
Odyssey pushed himself to smile as he get some more food to eat.
Their org head called for a champagne toast which allowed them to huddle beside the pool.
"Thank you guys for coming! Looking forward to more years to come! Happy anniversary Lambdas! Cheers!"
"Cheers!"
Everyone raised their glasses except Odyssey who was feeling funny. He didn't know if his pain has become physical dahil parang hindi siya makahinga.
It was only when he was wheezing that Danielle noticed.
"What happened!?"
Odyssey's face started to look purple.
He can't breathe.
But all the while, the moment he struggled the lack of air to breathe, Odyssey just felt guilty.
He though that he shouldn't smile. He shouldn't fake it.
That it's his karma for being happy. Because he should not be happy. He needs her like the air that is refusing to go in his airways.
"Emergency! Call someone! Call someone!"

"Naniniwala ka ba na natatapos lang ang sex dahil nag-orgasm na ang lalaki? Can you imagine?"
Hindi alam ni Lee kung paano niya sasagutin ang madaldal na EA ni Eliseo na si Lina. Na-hire daw kasi ito last week pero ngayon lang na-onboard dahil nag-asikaso pa ng requirements. Ngayon lang tuloy sila nagkita.
Nagaabang sila ngayon sa labas ng conference room kung saan may confidential na pinaguusapan ang mga execs kaya pinalabas muna sila kanina.
Isang glass wall lang ang nakapagitan sa kanila ni Lina sa mga nagmi-meeting sa loob pero soundproof ang kwarto kaya hindi sila nagkakarinigan. Malaya tuloy si Lin na nasasabi ang kung ano-ano.
