Thibbault harshly grabbed the sleeve of my shirt and dragged me out of my bedroom. His face radiated nothing but pure anger and the urge to beat the absolute crap out of me. I saw Maverick standing at the bottom of the stairs, a smirk plastered on his face, but Elliot was nowhere in sight.

"Pl-eas-e l-leave me.." I whispered, trying to let go of my hand from his strong grip.

"There is NO way I'm going to leave you this time." Thibbault spat, shooting daggers in my direction.

He dragged me down the stairs and into the living room, where he finally let go of me.

"W-What did I do?" I asked without making eye contact with anyone.

"Don't worry, you'll know soon." Thibbault answered.

"Because of HIM, Dad has grounded us for a month and I can't go to the party tomorrow." Maverick sneered.

"This brat will convince dad." Thibbault smacking my head.

I lowered my head and kept my eyes trained on the ground. My nose was hurting a lot, but I was too scared to say anything.

"What are you? 4?" Thibbault yelled, causing my head to snap up.

"You told dad something, how dare you!" Maverick stepped forward; a dark glare mirrored on his face.

"I d-didn't." I stuttered with wide eyes.

"Don't you dare lie, or you won't like what's gonna happen to you next." He threatened, his tone of voice dark, with no hint of anything other than hate.

"I'm not lying. I swear, I-I didn't tell anything to dad." I said.

Maverick grabbed my arm and slammed me into the wall.

"Tell me what you told Dad?" He asked, his eyes darkening with each word.

"I d-didn't tell hi-im anyt-thing." I managed to stutter out.

I saw Thibbault pacing back and forth, the anger radiating off of him was clear. He walked towards me, took a deep breath and released Maverick's tight grip on me.

"Look, if you tell us what you told Dad, we'll let you go unharmed, but if you don't then God help you." He stated.

"I swear, I didn't tell a-anything."

"I've had enough of his bullshit." Maverick shouted, kicking a chair in anger. "You're DEAD." I didn't ever have enough time to react before I saw his fist flying through the air.

I fell onto the ground; he went to punch me a second time but someone came to my rescue and stopped him.

"Done!" Elliot yelled as he placed a bucket on the floor. "Get off him, Maverick."

"I wish I could kill him." Maverick stood up, pulling me at the same time, causing me to stand up.

He walked towards the bucket and smirked evilly. I wiped my eyes and saw Thibbault coming towards me, the bucket tightly secured in his hands.

Are they going to throw water on me, in the winter?

Maverick grabbed my arm, stopping me from moving around, while Thibbault smirked at me. "Thibbault..please..no." I begged. "No, please." I tried wriggle in Maverick's tight grip when I saw a piece of ice floating in water, but it was of no use, his grip was too strong.

Suddenly, I felt the bucket of icy cold water being poured onto me. The water felt like it was endless and when I felt the last drop, I took in a deep breath. My clothes were completely soaked, along with my hair that was now plastered onto my forehead. I felt my body starting to shiver out of both fear and the cold.

My teeth chattered against each other, as I wrapped my arms around myself.

Maverick grabbed my arm and dragged me to the front door. He quickly opened it and pushed me outside.

"No, not outside. It's so cold out here." I managed to breathe out.

"This is what you get for being a tattletale." With that he slammed the door in my face.

WHY ME?

I kept banging on the door, but they didn't open it leaving me outside in the winter night. I shivered in my wet shirt and looked off into the distance to see a white powdery substance coating all the roads and streets.

I felt something squish under my foot, soaking my cotton shoes, I looked down to see a small pile of snow, mixed with a bit of graupel lying underneath my feet.

I slightly smiled and walked further away from the door and into the snow, picking a bit up and squeezing it. The snow makes this place look so magical!

I have never seen snow before. It's such a beautiful view. I'm not complaining about them leaving me outside in the chilly night now.

I felt a cold, harsh wind hit my face as light fell from the sky. The tiny crystals more visible in the light of the lamp across the street, compared to the darkness of the night.

"Wow!" I blinked my eyes, making sure what it was real.

It's always been one of my dreams to watch snow fall. At the moment, I forgot about cold. I stared into the night, watching the snow fall.

"It's snowing!" I exclaimed excitedly, before I began to make a ball with snow that had now formed on the ground.

Thank you, God, for letting me able to see the snow falling.

I suddenly felt a shot of cold chills run through my spine, as it started getting colder. My teeth chattering away, as my whole body began to shake uncontrollably.

I slowly stood up from my spot and walked towards the door, but not without taking in the beautiful sight of the snow around me.

I knocked on the door, but I got no response in return.

"P-Please op-pen it-t." I managed to say with my teeth chattering against each other.

A cold, moist wind hit my body and I began to release fog from my mouth.
I was feeling so cold and my legs were starting to feel numb.

I looked back at the snow to see a man coming towards me, but not more than a second later my vision became blurry and I collapsed on the ground.
