I looked at the clock, to see it was already 3:50 P.M.

Great!

I must have fallen asleep, after getting beat up. Cameron told me to text him after I asked Jaxon, but he isn’t here and I don’t have my phone and there is no way, I’m gonna go to Maverick and ask for my phone back. He would literally kill me.

Thibbault? No, definitely not. He will beat me up so bad, that I wouldn’t even be able to hang out.

Elliot? I don't know, but he is still a bit better than them. Only a little bit.

I took a deep breath and walked downstairs, where I saw Elliot sitting on a couch.

He is going to kill me.

"E-Elliot?" I called out, he glanced at me before he rolled his eyes.

It hurts to know that they're my brothers, yet they make me feel like I’m not even related to them.

"What?" He growled, causing my voice to disappear.

When I didn’t speak, he grabbed my wrist and twisted it, causing me to wince in pain.

"What!?" He yelled.

"I n-need my p-phone to c-call Jaxon." I managed to stutter out.

"Speak without a stutter." He said, before he twisted my wrist, once again. I stood there silently, to scared to speak. "Speak up." I took in a deep breath.

"I need my phone to call Jaxon." I whispered, staring at the ground.

"Why do you wanna call Dad?" He asked, with a dark glare placed on his face.

"I want to go hang out with my friends, so I need to ask him," I mumbled.

"Oh, you have friends? They're so unlucky to befriend someone as pathetic as you." He smacked my head, before standing up. I stumbled back, scared.

He’s already beaten me up once, he wouldn’t beat me up again, right?

He just rolled his eyes and went upstairs.

It was no use, I don't even know why I even asked him in first place. I looked up from the ground and noticed something, there was a landline phone on the side of the couch.

"Why do they have a landline phone?" I asked myself.

It's probably for emergencies or for something else I don't know about.

My eyes twinkled and a big grin appeared on my face, as I got a brilliant idea. I ran upstairs to my room and walked to where my backpack was. I quickly unzipped my backpack and took out my science textbook, where I wrote friends' phone number down.

I grabbed my textbook and ran downstairs to the telephone. I took a deep breath, before dialling Jaxon's number.

"Hello?"

"Oh, hey Connor wassup?"

"Um, I was wondering, if I could hang out with my friends."

"Of course, you can! Where's your phone?" He asked, causing me to gulp.

"Th-e battery's low." I lied and heard him chuckle in the background.

"Okay, no problem. Be back by 6 and have fun!" I smiled and hung up.

Whoa. That was fast. I glanced at Cameron's number, before I called it.

"Hey Cameron! It's Connor!"
