(A/N Thank you all for 2k reads, holy shiiiiiiiit I was not expecting my little pastime to amount to much at all, I've been kinda drowning in school work-- but I hope to churn more chapters out when I've got time off. Keep looking out for new chapters!)

I step out of the water under the moonlight, and shiver in the slight breeze. I look out down the coast of the creek to see Teddy, Vern, and Gordie throwing fistfuls of mud at each other. I just lightly snort at the scene, and ran over to them.

Chris trailed behind me, grabbing the dry clothes that everyone had left behind.

"Oh shit! There you are." Teddy says, "Where were you, cadet?"

"Staring at the stars," I point up to the sky, "It's beautiful, isn't it?"

Teddy nods. His gaze focuses on the aurora of pale dark lights in the sky. When he's got his eyes fixed on the moon, Gordie lops a chunk of mud at him, and it slaps on his back-- making a loud noise, and dripping down his shoulders slowly.

Teddy turns to face Gordie, "You pile of shit" He laughs, "You're dead"

Teddy charges at Lachance, with a palm covered in mud, and five-star slaps his back. They laugh as they continue running after one another. Vern is sat quite a few yards away with mud in his hand, looking worried as always.

From behind me, I feel Chris's arm around my shoulder. He raises my shorts up in front of me, "Missing anything Y/N?"

I turn beet red and snatch my shorts from his grip and hastily put them on.

"You forgot something~" He teases.

He's holding my shirt far above my head. I jump to reach it and he raises it higher.

"You've gotta try harder than that" He laughs.

I jump again, getting a little more discouraged-- but yet, I reach. All I can hear is Chris's laughter as I get frustrated.

"Why do you have to be taller than me?" I pout.

He just laughs even harder, "It's not my fault."

I smile wide, and stop jumping for it. I just step closer, and get on my toes. I kiss his cheek lightly, and his arms release tension.

I take one last jump, and grab my shirt out of his hands, "You dork!"

He glances at me, "You know just how to get to me." He smiles.

I throw my shirt on, and see Chris just staring at me the entire time, "What are you lookin' at, Chambers?"

He sighs, and walks towards me a little bit. He just keeps inching closer and closer. One step at a time. Before I know it, my back is up to a tree and he's barely an inch from my face. He still has his familiar smirk on his face as he opens his mouth to speak.

"I don't know, why don't you tell me?"

I take a deep breath in, my cheeks only burning brighter by the second. This boy somehow manages to turn me into a fire hydrant every moment of every day. I-I don't know what this feeling is, honestly.

He leans in and kisses my forehead lightly. He raises an eyebrow, "Blushing now, are we bunny?"

Bunny. How cute.

I trip over my words again, "I-I, you, you can't do that!" I poke his nose playfully.

"Or else..?" He cocks his head, in waiting for my reply.

I smile right back at him, now with a little bit of excitement in my eyes. I bite my lip, and step aside from the tree, turning and bolting away.

After a moment, I yell back to him. "Catch me if you can Chambers!" I giggle to myself.
