Chapter 40: The Phoenix

Soju's POV

I believed in all his lies. Akala ko, mahal niya rin ako. He used me to get close to my family. He used me to destroy us from within.

Maybe, I am too naive but I'm not an idiot. I can feel his wrath. Kita ko sa mga mata niya ang matinding galit pero hindi niya rin kayang itago ang lungkot sa kabila nito.

He is madly in love with my brother and now, he is seeking for vengeance. I don't know what he is capable of but I am so afraid.

Natatakot ako para sa pamilya ko at para sa kanya. I know that they will kill each other. Natatakot ako sa kayang gawin ni Wine sa amin pati na sa sarili niya.

I know that he is just lost in hatred...

Gusto 'kong makita 'yung Wine na palaging kinukwento sa akin ni Whiskey. 'Yung Wine na hindi kayang manakit at may malambot na puso.

I want to see the angel that captured the heart of my brother pero wala na akong makita kahit kaunting bakas ng pagkatao niya. All I can see is a monster; a merciless warrior.

I badly needed to escape. Habang tumatagal ay para bang mas malaki ang chance na walang ligtas ang pamilya ko. Parang berdugo si Wine, isa-isa niya kaming paglalaruan at papatayin.

Even I felt no love from my family, they are still my family and I don't want any of them to die.

Natatakot ako sa ginawa niya kay Gin. Alam ko na matindi ang galit niya kay Gin dahil siya ang pumatay kay Whiskey. I know that Wine hates him the most!

I need to escape from this mansion...

Tumingin ako sa paligid at walang bantay. I don't understand why. Parang walang pakealam si Wine kahit pa makatakas ako.

Ok, I get it. It's ok for him kahit na tumakas ako dito. It's all because he wanted to hunt me down.

I looked at the window and it is so far from the ground. I'll die if I jump off. What should I do?

Maya-maya ay may naglagay ng pagkain sa steel bars. I knew it.

Ginamit ko na lang ang tinidor para buksan ang malaking lock. Oh, I never knew that it will work. Wait, I need something first before I leave this mansion.

Pumasok ako sa kwarto ni Wine...

I searched around and I saw an invitation on his table. There is a crimson lotus symbol and I saw an address inside it.

Could it be?

Baka nandito si Wine or dinala niya rin dito ang family ko. I found the key of my car at his desk.

Tumakbo na ako palabas ng mansion niya. Grabe ang laki nito, he has his own parking lot like a mall. Marami siyang sasakyan and everything are all red.

He is a guy with an obsession in red...

Nag-drive na ako papunta sa address dito sa invitation. I saw a dark castle. Oh, I never thought that there is a dark castle here in Philippines.

Iniwan ko na lang ang kotse sa malayo para hindi nila mapansin. I walked around and I saw that even at the back of this dark castle, there are private soldiers.

How should I enter this castle?

I have no choice. I moved fast and I broke the neck of these two soldiers and I went at the back of the castle.

Sinuot ko na lang ang damit ng isa sa private soldiers ni Wine. I also wear their cap para hindi ako mamukhaan. I walked inside freely at the garden of this castle.
