Chapter 32: Family Dinner?

Soju's POV

I opened my eyes and my head hurts badly. F*ck! What happened?

"Oh, you're awake!"

I look at my side and I saw my mom drinking her cup of tea. What is she doing in my room?

"Kanina ko pa hinihintay na magising ka, Soju. We have to talk!"

Umupo na siya sa kama ko and this time, she looks so serious. Pagagalitan kaya ako nito?

"Nakakahiya ka talaga, you're wasted last night! Hinatid ka pa ni Vino pauwi dahil lasing na lasing ka!"

Oh, I don't remember that I'm drunk. Ang alam ko lang, nag-inom kami ni Vino last night. Mataas naman ang tolerance ko sa alcohol.

She smiled at me...

"But you did something good! It looks like he really likes you, my son!"

Napakunot na lang ang noo ko...

Mom is quite weird right now. Hindi naman kasi siya ganito sa akin. Most of the time, si Vodka and Gin lang ang nakikita niya. She never likes me.

"I thought you're mad at me just because I'm gay," deretsahan 'kong sabi sa kanya.

She is still smiling and she started to hold my hand. She took a deep breath.

"Yeah, I don't tolerate you being gay but it's Vino that we are talking here! We know how insanely wealthy he is! You're so lucky because he likes you!"

So, wala talaga siyang pakealam sa akin. She is just acting like this because of Vino's wealth.

"Tell me, ayaw mo ba kay Vino?"

I just cleared my throat...

"I-I have no reason not to like him."

"Good! Kung ganyan ka naman pala, matutuwa ako sa'yo. Stay as apple of his eye, ok?"

I just nodded...

She wanted Vino as part of our family just because he is wealthy; not because she really care about me.

"We have a business transaction this night, right? I have to prepare," I said.

"I cancelled it! There is something more important than that!" She said.

Something more important than our business transaction? Hindi ugali ni mom na mag-cancel, maybe it is really important for her.

"What is it?" I asked her.

"I invited Vino for a dinner! You have to prepare for him! I want you to look at your best, ok?"

I just nodded...

Umalis na siya ng room ko. Kaya naman pala, darating si Vino mamaya. It looks like she really likes Vino for me. Too bad, hindi ka-level ni Vino ang minahal ni Whiskey.

They end up dying together...

How unfortunate? Kung siguro, kasing yaman ni Vino 'yung minahal ni Whiskey, they can still live together.

Maybe, Vino is really the one for me...

I must admit, I am very lucky that he likes me. Never akong makakahanap ng kagaya niya. It's now or never.

Mom is right, I have to pursue him! He is the only one who can match me perfectly. He is different to everyone that I've met before.

Maybe, I should try having a serious and passionate relationship with him.

After I ate lunch, I am just looking at my phone. Vino has no message for me. Baka hindi pa siya bumibili ulit ng phone? Maybe he is really busy?

"Lucky guy, there's someone who likes you like crazy."
