I slowly and quietly walked into the apartment. I was shocked at what I saw.
Chairs were turned over, objects strewn across the room. The place was a mess.
I edged open the door to Zane’s bedroom. It was a mess too, but he wasn’t in there.
I checked the bathroom.
The kitchen.
The living room.
Training room.
He was no where to be seen.
With tears in my eyes I made my way to the last room. My room.
I opened the door and fell to my knees in shock.
There Zane was, tied to a chair and bleeding.
He stared at me and shook his head.
“Hello lovely lady,” a man said, coming into view.
I made eye contact with Zane again. “I love you,” I finally told him.
“How touching,” the man said and he hit me. I fell to the ground and let the blackness take me.
