Kairi's pov ❋
I throw on one of my hoodies, grab my phone, grab my house key, and make my way down the stairs.
Half way down I see my mom. Fuck. Why is she still up? I tried to quietly continue down the stairs and out the door.
kai's mom: Where do you think you're going?
Me: um my friend left something really important here and he needs me to bring it to him.
kai's mom: it can't wait till at least 12:00?
Me: um no it's his uh...... medicine.
kai's mom: Ok Kairi. 40 minutes.
I wasted no more time. I basically sprinted out the door and over to Mattia's house.

I knocked on the front door and was greeted by his cheery mom. His mom was always happy for some reason. I'm not complaining but it was a little weird at times.
Mattia's mom: Hi Kairi! It's kinda early, do you need something.
Me: Hi mrs. Polibio, Mattia left something important at my house and he wanted me to bring it to him.
Mattia's mom: Okay well he's in his room.
Me: okay thank you.
I ran up to Mattia's room and walked straight in. Did u expect me to knock? This is like my house too. Anywayssss I walked into the room to see Mattia laying in his bed on his phone.
Me: here you nic addict.
I threw the juul at him.
Mattia: ayee thanks bro
Me: You owe me. I just ran to your house at 9'o clock in the morning.
Mattia: Close the door, i'll make it up to you.
He winked at me. Of course me being the dumbass I am, I awkwardly froze.
He got out of the bed then came over and shut the door.
Mattia: When daddy gives an order you follow it.
He laughed while I still had that stupid look on my face. It looked like I had just saw a ghost.
Mattia's pov ❋
I made a dirty tease joke and started laughing but then I looked over at Kairi and he wasn't laughing. Actually he wasn't amused at all.
Me (mattia): Hey, you good kai?
Kairi: I um..... I have to go now.
He rushed out of the room, not even giving me a chance to say bye. Did I say something wrong? Did the joke make him too uncomfortable? We've made jokes like that before... Why was that one different? Was "daddy" too far?

A tingly sensation came from the lower half of my body, shooting up to my cheeks. I immediately realized what just happened. "hey, you good kai?" Fuck. "I um....... I have to go." I left his house, making sure to wave goodbye to his mom.
What the fuck is wrong with me?! Of course he was joking. Of course he wasn't going to "make it up" to me. Why? Why the hell did I just get a fucking boner?! Fuck. Kill me now.
I got back to my house, walked in, avoided talking to my mom and little sister and went straight to my room. I got in my bed, exhausted and out of breath.
I refuse to question my sexuality right now. I'm straight. End of story.
Ha. That boner says otherwise.......
