Chapter 5 Burned Out

I had sent flowers to Lauren I knew I had messed up,not being able to see her ruined me, the flowers weren't the only thing flying to her. Not being able to see her was killing me.I was ready to give it my all for her.

Camilas POV

I had left the office for lunch after my meetings I couldn't be around Lauren,looking at her face made my stomach churn,I had just slept with this woman and now I hated her all in a matter of hours.I guess this is what love was,I knew I had loved her for years but always kept my distance. I didn't like being broken hearted,I had tried a relationship with a girl after Lauren but it never worked out,I caught myself comparing her to Lauren all the time,it just wasn't fair for either of us.

As I waited for my Santa Fe styled salad I felt a nudge on my shoulder.

"Mila"

"Ariana hi how are you"i said smiling hugging the smaller woman,speaking of the devil

"I didn't think I'd find you here"she said sarcastically

"I know I can't seem to get tired of the salads"

"Mhm probably the only thing you'll keep constant in your life"

"Awe come on let's not get hostile"

"Hey it's okay I get it you are still in deep with your company no worries,but I did hear About your new collab with the Jáureguis"

"Yeah Im dealing with their daughter Lauren she was out in New York and came back-"

"She went to school with you no?I remember you mentioning her before"

"Uhm yeah I had a couple pictures with her that someone found medaling through my things"I said chuckling as the older woman turned red

"I'm sorry I got jealous okay,but I'm glad to see you,you look really good"she said her dimple showing,one of the many things that attracted me to her

"It's fine really it really is nice to see you as well,do you want to have lunch together?"I said spontaneously,but really out of spite for Lauren,I didn't want to think of her right now yet here I was getting jealous myself due to Lauren

"Uhm,are you sure about this?"she said confused my by sudden want of companionship,I mean I usually always preferred to eat lunch alone to focus on my next meetings but I needed this right now

"Are you seeing someone or you have a better person to eat with?"

"Ahh there it is,there's the ruthless Camila Cabello I know"

"Mhm you know you like when I dominate you Ari"I said getting closer to her,seeing her blush burned a fire in me right now that before was a mear spark

"You know I do but we both know that I wasn't the one to end that"she said not stepping back from me like other people usually would by now,Ariana was probably the only other person that wasn't scared of shutting me up if I needed to

"Well maybe its time to rekindle?"

"Im not sure about that Camila, plus I have somewhere to be"was i really being rejected

"Off harsh,I like it"i replied not trying to show the little burn i felt on my face

"See you around Cabello"The smaller woman left me and my salad alone to concentrate on what was ahead. Not even Ariana wanted to deal with me,it really was not my day.

Laurens PoV

I sat in Camilas office waiting for her to get back from her lunch. As soon as I saw her opening the door my heart began to pound faster.
