iX. The Thing You Need to Protect

Enchanted Forest. Then.

GISELLE FELT HER hands become clammy and her stomach twist and turn with nervous as the carriage she was in, as Regina and her bounced from the carriage traveling through the dirt track of the Enchanted Forest when suddenly the carriage stopped and the redhead was thrown forward and she nearly fell off the bench but in order to stay on quickly grabbed ahold of the Evil Queen's black skirt causing the woman to narrow her eyes at the woman as she snatched her skirt back off the woman. The whinnying of horses could be heard and Regina cast a dirty look in Giselle's direction as if she was was to blame for the horses stopping  

The Evil Queen got up and opened the door and the red head scrambled up to follow Regina Mills and she saw twins around the age of ten and she wanted to tell Regina to cool it and not do anything to them but was too scared to say anything  so Regina  glared harshly at the two of them "What are you doing in my forest?"

"Please forgive us" The girl apologies looking down, scared of what the woman was going to do to them and Giselle felt her heart break for the two children because she shared that same fear that boiled in her bones and froze her to her spot making her lips sew shut as she finds herself unable to speak up to her captor (not that she could anyway since Regina held the power to crush her heart) "We didn't mean to bother you ... Well, we just lost our father"

Regina Mills tilted her head to the side as she glanced between the two children in a way that made the red headed princess feel queasy as the Evil Queen began to speak "Two helpless children, lost and alone  and a family torn asunder, such a sad and moving story"

Giselle suddenly felt a rush of emotion as Regina called out 'seize them' and she thought about her past life, something that she hadn't done in such a long time since it always made her sad and she allowed herself to think of the little girl she had left behind and how -- even if she didn't know them -- the children reminded her of the little girl that she had come to think oyf as a daughter and she knew right then what must be done not caring about  what happened to her as long as the children were alright, she ran out of the carriage and got in between the twins and the Evil Queen, heart thumping in her chest as she narrowed her eyes at the woman dressed in black

"You will not harm these children!" She exclaimed to Regina

Standing still for a moment or two, shocked that the person in front of her had actually stood up for herself and two helpless children Regina Mills wasn't prepared as the girl threw her yo-yo at one of the guards surprising him enough that the two children were able to run and escape although they didn't get very far since the Evil Queen narrowed her eyes in Giselle's direction before disappearing in a cloud of dark purple smoke  from Giselle's field of vision

Storybrooke. Present day.

Exhausted Gemma flopped down onto her sofa and let out a sigh of relief when she sunk into the  the sofa, she hadn't been feeling well today which was unusual for her as she had suffered from a little bit of a stuffy nose and a headache so she was glad that it was the weekend and shye didn't have to go into work which meant that she could spend the day in her pyjama's curled up on the sofa and watching shows on Netflix.

But a knock on the door interrupted those plans and the red head groaned before peeling her limbs off of the sofa and walking over to the door, thinking it was Keira since she had sent a text to the blonde earlier saying the she didn't feel too good and Keira had replied saying that she would come over later with some soup and hot chocolate and they could watch movies until Gemma started to feel a bit better
