upon making it to my house, regret sinks in.

my porch walls are scattered with faded blue paint, all containing some kind of insult.

i tilt my head, taking the time to read every single word on the wall.

did kai do this?

i quickly shake the thought from my head as soon as it appears. there's no way he'd do this.

although he did miss out on that detention and it would explain why he was covered in blue paint. but why would he want to hurt me?

ignoring the paint, i slowly unlock my door, trying to make as less sound as possible.

on my way to my room, i go into the kitchen to grab a cereal bar as a snack, and i see my younger brother passed out on the couch.

wondering if he knows about the writings on our porch, i shake my head and head upstairs to my room. i collapse on my bed upon entering, a deep sigh escaping my lips.

i feel my body relax slightly, but tears threaten to fall from my eyes the more i think about those horrid words on the walls.

i crawl up to my pillows, and i manage to shuffle under my covers somehow.

my thoughts are flying everywhere; kai wouldn't have done this, right?

i feel guilty just thinking about it. because kai's my best friend, and he wouldn't do such a thing.

yet doubt fills my mind.
