i wrote this story years ago and city of stars was a revision of a revision of a revision. the only thing i never included for the first revision was jessa becoming vivienne's best friend. i can tell you exactly what was going to happen to vivienne and fred:
• so after the twins propose to vivienne the idea of her helping them, she obviously grows close to them and realizes they're not that bad
• she begins acknowledging them in the hallways and even smiling at them during meals in the great hall
• fred has grown a liking to teasing her, and often being quite flirtatious
• vivienne counts his banter occasionally
• cedric is very amused by vivienne's new friendship, not seeing her this happy for years
• vivienne is extremely upset when cedric decides to enter himself for the triwizard tournament
• she doesn't want him getting hurt but cedric insists that he'll be okay
• she confides in fred over her fears, worried about losing cedric like she lost atlas
• they grow closer when vivienne begins to turn to him for comfort
• and, of course, there would be the typical cute "i smell vivienne" and "i smell fred" in an amortentia scene
• failure to acknowledge their feelings as it usually is in slow burns
• would 'hang out' during hogsmeade trips but everyone knows they're on a date and won't call it a date
• vivienne assumes she'll be cedric's date for the yule ball but ha! turns out he wants to go with jessa
• vivienne is stumped, and just decided she doesn't want to go
• george knocks some sense into fred and tells him to shoot his shot
• fred asks vivienne, but she tells him he needs to prove himself first
• fred has no idea what that means, of course
• he decides on giving her a scavenger hunt and after every clue, he writes a compliment for her
• vivienne is really touched because she never hears the kinds of things fred says about her, especially at home
• he often does cheesy stuff like this for her and she loves it
• they go to the yule ball together and basically make heart eyes with each other on the dance floor
• after the yule ball, however, vivienne starts getting really bad nightmares about her brother's death
• fred tries to help her as much as he can
• cedric is often the one speaking to her softly and trying to get her to calm down
• vivienne begs cedric not to complete the tournament in fear for his life
• cedric thinks she's being cautious because of her nightmares and dismisses her
• :(
• she's really not the same after cedric's death
• she won't talk to anyone — not even jessa or fred
• she just wants to be alone because she thinks it's her fault

this was all i had imagined for goblet of fire. in relation to fred's death, though, i always knew vivienne would die alongside him in the war. i made this note in my phone (this was actually the first note in my phone) so many years ago, thought i would share it lol. btw: vivienne's original name in the first writing of this book was camille:
