xvii. THEY END WITH ANOTHER

63 32 3

His heart is chained to mine,
for love has blessed me with what it finds.

And our thoughts have intervened,
but still I cannot read his mind.

And however separated we look,
behind the drapes we are combined.

Because underneath the wedding bells,
our vows have been all too kind.

For when his eyes capture mine,
I am lost to no rhythmic measure.

Whilst he bends to meet my satisfaction,
attempting to ensure my own pleasure.

But my thirst has not been quenched,
as his desire I do abate.

And he seems to be so euphoric,
whilst in the arms of the one I hate.

And so I sprint and away I run,
into the arms of another light.

Because there within this circus of fun,
this other recognizes my might.

And whilst the first looks for his closure,
this one looks for no exposure.

And whilst the first spreads his needs,
this one all but meets my heed.

So soft.

And let there be the courting of justice;
for this is all I must be entitled to practice.
