Chapter 1

        You know, when you pick a good song for your ringtone but then you get tired of it pretty quick. I mean listening to the same song over and over again gets boring after a while. That happens to me a lot and I always end up changing every few weeks. I always pick a loud song that can wake up the neighbors when someone calls me. You might ask yourself why I would do that to myself. Well, the answer is simple. I sleep like a rock and I am always falling asleep in random places of my small apartment.

    My ringtone of the week goes off and I have picked a good song, Animals by Maroon 5. I wake up in a daze and realize I fell asleep on my books for the second time today. This studying all day has really drained me and I haven't seen my bed in a few days. I reach for my phone as a picture of my gorgeous best friend Sophia shows up. I stare at it for a moment appreciating how beautiful my friend is, with her golden curls covering her face and her signature move of sticking her tongue out when she is annoyed. She took this selfie with my phone when I first got it and she forces me to use it as her contacts pic because that will remind me to answer her call. I think it works because I pick up her call every time.

"Ella, babe?" She questions using our friendship nickname that Sophie, Julie and I have been calling each other since high school.

"Hey Sophie, what's up?" I say surprised by my droggy voice.

"I need a huge favor" she says and I can hear hesitation in her voice."I know you are going to say no right away but please hear me out. This is a very big opportunity for me and I can not miss it" she continues rushing the words out.

"Ok girl take a breath. I will hear you out" I plea trying to slow her down.

She complies by taking a deep breath and continuing "I got a call about and hour ago from a promoter I have known for a while now. He says that they need a hair stylist for a boy group that's doing a concert tonight at the Orlando Amway Center. He told me it was last minute because the stylish the group brought got sick and they don't want the group to get sick as well so they need to hire someone"

"Do you know who the group is?" I ask hoping is someone we know.

"Yes!" She exclaims "It's a Korean Group, I don't know much about them. I have seen a few of their music videos online. They are cute and seem to have nice voices, but you know I am a heavy metal girl. So I am not really interested in them that much"

"Sooo" I say trying to bring her back to her point since Sophie tends to go on and on when she is excited about something and if I let her continue we will be here all night. "What do you need from me?"

"Oh yes" She says excitedly. "Well first of all I need a ride. Liam has the car and he is at work. He said he will meet me there after work to pick me up. I got tickets to the show from the promoter and I asked for 5 extra tickets. One is for Liam, one for you of course, one for Liam' s coworker Nathan and the last 2 for Juliana and Aaron" She continues "The other favor is I might need you to go backstage with me and help me with my tools since Liam wont be with  me."

"Babe I can give you a ride no problem, but you know I get uncomfortable around big crowds" I say knowing that she understands how anxious I get around strange people. That's one of the main reasons I never go anywhere. If it weren't for my two pushy best friends I would only go from school to my apartment.

"I know Ella, but i really need you" she says sounding like a child that wants her mom to buy her the toy they have been waiting for all year. She knows that always gets me to say yes. I mean how can you say no to her when she acts like that. "I would not be asking you if I didn't need you. Pretty please!"

"Ok" I say as I try to prepare myself mentally for what tonight holds.

"Yay!" She exclaims. "You are the best. I need to be there at 5 pm. I know that only gives you an hour to get ready and come pick me up but can you come earlier I want to make a good impression."

"Ok see you at 4:30 then, good thing the place is only 10 minutes away from your house" I say trying to find at least one good thing about tonight.

"Thank you, thank you babe. You are awesome. I am going to call Julie now so she gets ready too and she can meets us there. OMG" I hear her scream the last word and I know she is excited. I can't help but do what she wants since she seems so happy with this work opportunity.

"I also need one last favor can you google them?" She pleads "I need to know their full names"

"Will do" I say hoping she hangs up soon so I can start freaking out.

"See you soon" she joyfully says and hang ups.

I look around my quiet room. What am I going to wear. I never been to a concert. Ok! Add to my list of things to google today. What do people wear to a concert?
At least I know one thing. Tonight is not going to be boring.
