The Garden
The gardener planted me as a small sunflower
He was nice enough to plant two other sunflowers next to me
I grew, and I past the others hight as they held me up
But I lost you two...
The gardener took you two beautiful flowers away from me...
I started to wilt, knowing the gardener doesn't want a ugly flower
But, he stuck a temporary stick in the ground to keep me upright
Still I continued to wilt, breaking the stick
But the gardener still tolerated me
He planted 40 flowers next to me
They appreciated my beauty even if I didn't see it
But, I still didn't have the strength to stand
He than gave me you two
Two other tall sunflowers stood ubove me
I didn't get it...
If he wanted such beautiful flowers
Why leave me..?
The two other sunflowers encouraged me to stand
But I still didn't have the strength
Soon enough, they had enough
They reached down and grabbed me
Pulling me up, I didn't fight, I saw no point to
They smiled at me
I looked away and saw all of the flowers the gardener planted
Everyone with a smiling face
He gave me all of you
There was more than the eye could see
In this large field of flowers
I felt at place
I no longer wilt
I no longer frowned
I no longer wished the day I would be plucked
I am so grateful for ALL of you
But I never understood...
Why everyone thought I was special...
