Okay, if you read this book often, you'll notice that there's a CLOSED sign next to the Request Page, so that means that requests are officially closed! I hope you all enjoy these next oneshots before I complete this book! Also, I read online that the genderbent name for Ariel is Ari, so I'll be referring to him as Ari in this oneshot! Now as for Ari's brothers, ima just keep their names as they are. Hope you don't mind!

Enjoy~

[Ari's POV]

I stared out the window at the dark waters of the night, bored out of my mind. I had slept in that day and now I couldn't sleep. I heaved a sigh and leaned out the window, looking for something interesting. "Ari, what're you up to?" I heard a tired voice behind me. I whipped around, seeing Arista leaning over his bed, looking up at me.

"Just...uh...looking at the...ocean..." I said. He shrugged his shoulders and rolled over. I gave a sigh of relief and looked at the rest of my sleeping brothers. I swam around the room, hovering my hand over their face, making sure they were asleep. I gave a quiet sigh of relief and swam out of my window, avoiding the guards. I snuck out a lot, so I was a pro at this. After sneaking past the guards, I made my way through the open water.

-Timeskip brought to you by: Male Ariel. Something I will never stop swooning over-

I smiled as I came to a sunken ship. Once I got closer, I realized it was one that I had yet to explore! Yes! Something new! Something interesting! Sunken ships were always fun to explore! I swam through the hole in the bottom of the ship without hesitation. Sadly, the place seemed uninhabited, meaning no sign of sharks, eels, or anything like that. Most of the ship seemed to have caved in with wooden planks scattered across the ground. The wreckage seemed fresh and new. The paint of the boat wasn't peeling and the wood didn't look like it had been eaten at. I smiled and made my way to the deck. I stood up straight, pretending to dance around on the deck. I giggled to myself and swam towards the wheel.

Just as I spun it, a sound rang out, making me freeze. I blinked when no other noise was made. I raised an eyebrow and moved to investigate, adrenaline pumping through my veins. The noise had come from a room with a door just about ready to fly off its hinges. I opened the door, entering a light (F/C) room. My eyes widened when I saw the floating children's bed and toys. I sighed and looked around. This...no longer seemed so fun.

Then again, there were no bodies! So maybe everyone on the boat escaped before it sank-

My thought was cut off my a thud. My eyes widened and I looked in the corner. A blanket was covering something...or someone. I swam over and let my hand hover over the blanket. But when I pulled away, I gasped in shock. It was a...kid! But they were alive! Their head was protected by some helmet. A glass circle in the face of the helmet allowed me to see her face. She was a little kid with (S/T) skin and (H/C). My eyes widened and I quickly pulled the kid into my arms. She was breathing, but barely. The surface...I have to get her to the surface!

I quickly swam out from the shipwreck and bolted for the surface. There's no way the air in her helmet would keep her alive for long. If she weren't on the verge of death, I would most likely be absolutely fascinated by her, since this was my first time coming into contact with a human. But first things first...I need to make sure that she lives.

When I made it to the surface, I swam towards a nearby beach. It was a small beach on a secluded island. It was barely an island and more like a small plot of land. But there was a nearby cave. When I made it up to the surface, the dawn was breaking. I pulled them onto the shore of the beach, taking off the helmet. She immediately took a deep breath. I tossed aside the helmet and rushed back into the water, keeping my torso up above the water, not wanting to leave her alone.

"H-Hello?" She whispered, coughing. It was still pretty dark outside, so she wouldn't notice my tail, right?

"Are you okay, kid?" I asked. Her eyes widened and she scooted closer to me.

"Did you save me?" She asked, her voice filled wonder and innocence.

"Yes." I answered. "Are you okay?"

"Where's...where's mom and dad...?" She asked. I raised an eyebrow. She had parents. Her eyes scanned the little island. "Did they...?" She couldn't finish her sentence.

"Did it have something to do with the boat?" I asked, immediately regretting it. She might freak out at the memory of a shipwreck. But she didn't. Instead, tears filled her eyes and she nodded. I just watched her at first, not sure what to do.

"They're gone..." She said after she was finished crying. "I'm all alone..."

"Hey, hey, you're not alone..." I said, taking her hand in mine. "I'll be here for you." What was I doing? I couldn't just make a promise to her like this! As much as I wanted to...I was a merman. Would I be able to take care of her in this state?

She patted the spot on the sand next to her. "Will you sit with me? Please?" She asked. I thought about it. She's a child...but would it matter if she knew I was a merman? From the sounds of it, she doesn't have anyone out looking for her. I needed to comfort her while she was here with me...

I pulled myself out of the water and sat next to her. She was lying right on the water's edge, so it wasn't too much of a struggle for me. Her eyes widened when she saw my tail. I smiled at her reaction. So adorable...

"You have a tail..." She mumbled. "Can I have a tail like you?"

I giggled and shook my head. "Sorry, I only have one tail." I said. The two of us watched as the sun began to rise. I gave a sigh. There was no other land for miles and I wouldn't be able to watch her all day. I thought about it for a second and a light bulb lit up in my head. "Hey, did you know that I'm a prince?"

"You're a prince!?" She cried. "Awesome! Can I be your princess?" I shook my head with another giggle.

"Sorry, but no..." I said. "I'm a prince, so I won't be able to stay here with you all day, sadly. Can I trust you to take care of yourself?"

"Yup! I'm a big girl!" She said. "But will I be able to see you again...?"

"Of course!" I said. "You can tell me all about what it's like being a human, and I can tell you all about what life is like as a merman."

"Awesome!" She kicked her little feet excitedly on the sand. I smiled and looked at the rising sun. I should probably get Scuttle to keep an eye on her, just in case. "What's your name, Mister prince?"

"Oh, I'm Ari." I said. "What's your name?"

"(Y/N)!" She said happily. I nodded and ruffled her hair.

"Nice name, princess."
