Lucas' POV

Napatulala pa ako ng ilang segundo ng makita sila sa pinto ko. What brings them here? I don't think it's to visit my wife.

"Oh sorry. We didn't know you have a visitor." Sabi nung mommy niya.

"Ah don't worry, paalis naman din po ako." Pilit na ngumiti ito sa harap nila at yumuko tyaka lumabas ng bahay.

"Who was that?" Tanong ni Ate Maggie with a smirk on her face. I know that they are suspecting about my identity.

"Oh my business partner. Please come and sit." Mukha namang naniwala sila sa sinabi ko.

"Any drinks?" Tanong ko

"We're good. Thank you."

"My wife is not here. She's with her friend, Mira." Pagsisimula ko kahit alam ko namang hindi siya ang pakay nila dito.

"That's ok. We're not here to visit her, but you." Sagot ni Mommy Vaniza. Me? Why me?

"My husband has lost his job recently. We don't have any income for about a week now at si Rouge lang ang syang tanging makakapg provide nun. Pero matapos nung huli kaming nagkita hindi na sya nagbibigay pa ng susntento." Napayukom ako at inisa isang tinitigan ang mga kapatid ng asawa ko kanya kanya naman itong nagsi iwasan ng tingin. Are these three jobless at inaasa lang lahat sa tatay nila at sa asawa ko?

"I understand, my wife has been busy these past few months. But what about her siblings can't they provide your living expenses?" She scoffs at inayos ang upo.

"They can't work since their younger sister is very responsible and promised us na bubuhayin niya kami." Younger sister? Are they even treating her like one? Kahit sino'ng tao masasabing hindi nila kapatid si Rouge. First it's because they all are bully to her. Second, unlike these three na kuhang kuha ang lahat ng features ng mommy nila except Rouge, kahit kay Daddy Ed walang na mana ang asawa ko. Walang duda kung bakit ginaganito nila si Rouge dahil yun ay di naman nila ito kadugo.

"My wife is very generous which makes others to take advantage on her. Tell daddy Ed that he can give me his resume and I will give him a job that is fit for him."

"Sure, but.....Can't you give us money instead of your wife? Just let her know at sya na ang magbayad sa'yo." I almost roll my eyes in front of them sa narinig ko. I can't imagine my wife's life living in the same roof as them. Kinuha ko ang check ko at nagsulat ng amount ng pera tyaka binigay sa kanila.

".....We truly appreciate this. Since we are family we should help each other." Sabi nito ng hindi nakatingin sa akin, nanlaki naman ang mga mata ng mga anak niya ng makita ang cheque.

"It's not just because we are now a family, it's because you raised my wife into such a fine woman. I thank you for that." Nahagip ng mga mata ko ang pagtaas ng isang kilay ni Magenta. Mukhang hindi nagustuhan ang narinig. These ladies are so full of jealousy. I won't forgive them for mistreating Rouge. Tsk! Like I am one to say, I am no different than them.

"Oh no problem. Tell Rouge, that we stopped by. Mauna na kami since gabi na." Money is what they after here. I am so glad that Rouge is completely different than these women. Tumango naman ako at hinatid sila sa pinto hanggang sa nakaalis na ang mga ito. I can't believe these people. They really have guts to come here and ask for money even after mistreating my wife.

"Rouge, where are you?"

Ed's POV

Nauwi ako ng gabi na after I had arguement with Vaniza. We are always like this especially when it comes to Rouge. My poor daughter, all I want for her is to have a good life. Why life can't just go easy on her?
