Two hours after my talk with Peter, we had found a large enough space about a half an hour away from the highway to set up camp. Peter understood the woods, and I was confident in his leadership skills.

The rules for the night were simple. No fire, no excessive noise and no wandering. Everyone easily obliged.

As people began to set up their own small claimed areas, I found mine at the very back of the class. A large fallen tree had now become my sanctuary spot, a spot in which I could keep watch, a spot in which I could keep from crowds and conversation. My head was already spinning with the return of my emotions, so I needed time to take it all in, but as always someone slithered their way into my space, ruining my plans for solidarity.

"Hi" A chirpy unregistered voice began

My mind returned to reality and I surprisingly found Tricia sitting beside me on the log, a smile in place

Naturally my eyebrows creased in the centre. We were not on speaking terms. In fact the words we had spoken, were always in conflict

"Um... hi" I drew out, unsure

"I just thought we could have a chat" She sighed, her eyes looking ahead

I didn't say anything. I didn't know what to say to her. I remembered the last time she'd spoken directly towards me and it hadn't ended well

"I shouldn't have sided with Austin when I said the things I did before..." She began as I kept my guard up"I mean, I'm not going to apologise for what I said, but-"

I looked towards her and scoffed "Where is this going Tricia?"

This girl had nothing I wanted, she could say nothing I needed to hear. Sure, I was turning a leaf, but once someone double crossed me, there was no going back. She had chosen her side.

Her face distorted a little "Well, I want you to know that whatever your game is with Jesse, it isn't going to work"

I couldn't respond, because I couldn't understand.

"Me and him, we have a past together, he was my boyfriend and there are still a whole lot of feelings there.."

"Again, where is this going?" I snickered as I stood and folded my arms

Her lips lifted, her eyes narrowing, almost in a demonic way "I see how you act around him"

My eyebrows quirked, shaking my head "and how is that?"

"You have a crush on him, like a thirteen year old girl crushing on a boy-band member" Her voice was becoming more threatening as she spoke

This time I could barely suppress my laugh "you're even more nuts than I originally thought.." I told her, amused

I knew Jesse and her had a past, that was none of my business, I didn't care, I had no interest in what they were or what they could become

"You know what?" She continued, hoping down off of the fallen tree "I'm so sick of hearing and seeing you act so arrogant, so brave and so tough, if you want to hurt me, then do it, seriously.." Her voice rose as she waited for me to attack her, something I was contemplating

"You're too dramatic for my time Tricia, please go away" I rolled my eyes. I was in no mood to deal with her attitude, I wasn't interested in fighting her, she would only end up hurt

I waited for her to remove herself from my reach, I hoped that the narrow glare I was giving her was enough to deter her, but with one quick movement, she lunged at me, her half closed, half opened hand just missing my face.

By this stage, a few people had noticed the confrontation and were now readying for a fight with eager bets against Tricia.

With short hesitation she swiped at me one more time, missing me completely. It wasn't hard to avoid her loose hands, she had no fighting experience, it wouldn't be a fair fight, surely she knew that
