Kurt's POV
Today's tuesday and tomorrow is the day that marks the start of the tournament.
Hindi ko kailangan ng maraming preparations, matagal na kaming sumasali sa tournament na yon, and we always end it being us as the champion. So for now, I can do whatever I want.
And what I want is to get to know NERD.
Yes, not my past girl and it's not the gray-eyed hottie. Si Nerd ang gusto kong makasama for my last lay low day.
Why?
Dahil siguro kagabi narealize ko kung ano talagng sinabi niya saakin kahapon.
"Maybe I'm not really a nerd."
Is it true? Ano yung get-up na yon? Front niya? Para saan naman? THIS IS INTERESTING.
"Ner-Athena." Tawag ko sakanya, exactly when she entered the room with uhm- Cynthia? Is that right? Well who cares if it's not.
Tumingin sakanya yung kasama niya, shocked that I called Nerd. I saw Nerd na pinisil yung kamay ni Cynthia, signaling her something, obviously. Tumango yung babae, then sat down with Athena.
"Hoy Nerd!" I called her again, pero ako na yung tumayo at naglakad papunta sa pwesto nila. I saw a tensed face from Cynthia, pero kay Nerd... wala lang sakanya.
I can feel all eyes are on us. Wala ding nagsalita, lahat nakatutok lang.
Kahit yung mga kasama ko, wala ding nagsalita. Pero unlike the other people looking at us, yung mga kasamahan ko walang paki, lahat sila may kanya-kanyang ginagawa maliban sa pakikiusyoso sa ginagawa ko.
"Athena." My voice fixed.
