Our Time Has Come

CHAPTER 2

They followed Maleficent back to where all our parents or grandparent, in Zoe's case, were staying. Zoe, Mal, Jay, Evie, And Carlos all stood in front of Maleficent as she filed her nails.
"You will go. You will find the fairy godmother and you will bring me back her magic wand. Easy peasy," Maleficent says as she finally looks at them.
"What's in it for us?" Mal asks as Evie and Zoe share a look of annoyance. Of course they were going to be used as per usual.
"Matching thrones. Hers-and-hers crowns," Maleficent answers her with a smirk.
"I think she meant us," Zoe says as she rolls her eyes and Mal nods in agreement. Maleficent throws the nail filer as she stands before motioning Mal towards her.
"It's all about you and me, baby," Maleficent says as Mal steps forward. "Do you enjoy watching
innocent people suffer?"
"Well, yeah. I mean, who doesn't..." Mal answers not wanting to disappoint her mom.
"Well, then get me the wand and you and I can see all that and so much more. And with that wand
and my scepter, I will be able to bend both good and evil to my will!" Maleficent explains causing Zoe to let out a sigh. She didn't want anything to do with anything evil but she was stuck because of who her mother and grandmother are.
"Our will," The Evil Queen corrects Maleficent causing Cruela to agree with her.
"Our will, our will," Maleficent corrects before getting Mal's attention back on her. "And if you refuse, you're grounded for the rest of your life, missy."
"What... mom..." Mal goes to argue but Maleficent quickly uses her green eyes. Mal tries to fight back with her own green eyes but she fails. "Fine. Whatever."
"I win," Maleficent cheers.
"Evie," The Evil Queen calls from where she is sitting with Zoe's Evil Grandmother.
"Zoe," Lady Tremaine calls as well. Evie and Zoe quickly make their way over to them.
"My little evil-ette in training, you just find yourself a prince with a big castle and a mother-in-law wing," The Evil Queen tells Evie.
"And lots and lots of mirrors!" Evie and The Evil Queen say at the same time before Evie laughs.
"No laughing. Wrinkles," The Evil Queen orders.
"Zoe, you will find a wealthy prince and restore the family name," Lady Tremaine orders causing Zoe to nod.
"Oh, well, they're not taking my Carlos, because I'd miss him too much," Cruela says causing Carlos to look at her in hope.
"Really, mom?" Carlos asks seeing if she actually cares.
"Yes. Who would touch up my roots, fluff my fur, and scrape
the bunions off my feet?" Cruela answers causing Zoe to roll her eyes. They were only ever used by the people who were supposed to love them.
"Yeah, maybe a new school
wouldn't be the worst thing," Carlos says in defeat.
"Oh, Carlos, they have dogs in Auradon," Cruela says trying to get her way.
"Oh, no! I'm not going!" Carlos quickly says in fear. Maleficent lets out a grunt of annoyance.
"Well, Jay isn't going either," Jafar says as he turns away from what he was cooking. "I need him to stock the shelves in my store." Jafar turns to Jay before taking him to the side.
"Evie's not going anywhere until we get rid of this unibrow, hmm?" The Evil Queen says causing Evie to gasp and touch her eyebrows.
"What is wrong with you all?" Maleficent says finally having enough. "People used to cower
at the mention of our names! For 20 years, I have searched for a way off this island. For 20 years, they have robbed us from our revenge..." Maleficent starts walking around to each villain. "revenge on snow white and
her horrible little men. Revenge on Aladdin and his bloated genie!"
"I will..." Jafar starts causing Jay to hold him back.
"Revenge on Fairy Godmother for making Cinderella a princess. Revenge on every sneaky dalmatian that escaped your clutches," Maleficent continues causing Lady Tremaine to frown and Carlos to hide behind Cruela.
"Oh, but they didn't get baby. They didn't get the baby!" Cruela cheers as she makes the puppy on her coat squeak.
"And I, maleficent... The evilest of them all, I will finally have my revenge on sleeping beauty and her relentless little prince," Maleficent continues as she sits in The Evil Queen's lap. "Villains!"
"Yes?" Jafar And Cruela both say.
"Our day has come," Maleficent says with a smirk. "E.Q., give her the magic mirror." Maleficent gets up and stands beside the Evil Queen.
"This is your magic mirror?" Evie asks as the Evil Queen hands her a small piece.
"Yeah, well, it ain't what it used to be, but then again, neither are we!" The Evil Queen says causing her and Maleficent to laugh. "It will help you find things."
"Like a prince?" Evie and Zoe ask at the same time as they look at the mirror.
"Like my waistline," The Evil Queen jokes.
"Like the magic wand! Hello!" Maleficent corrects. "My spell book. My book. I need my... that book." Lady Tremaine then points to the refrigerator. "Oh, ah! The safe. The safe. Queen, help me! I never can figure this thing out."
"Voila" The Evil Queen says as she easily opens it.
"My spell... come, darling. Come. Oh... ooh! Oh, Oh," Maleficent says making Mal walk over to her. "There she is. It doesn't work
here, but it will in Auradon. Remember? When we were spreading evil and ruining lives."
"Like it was yesterday," The Evil Queen agrees.
"And now you will be making your own memories by doing exactly as I tell you," Maleficent tells Mal before they hear a door close outside. "Door." There is then a car horn.
"Let's get this party started!" Jay says as they all start getting their things together.
"Carlos! Come," Cruela orders before they walk downstairs.
"Who is the fairest of them all?" The Evil Queen asks Evie who is looking in the mirror.
"Me," Evie answers causing the Evil Queen to gasp. "You."
"Yes! Let's go," The Evil Queen says before they also go downstairs.
"Now, recite our mantra," Jafar orders.
"There's no team in "I"," Jay says quickly.
"Oh, run along. You're making me tear up," Jafar says before they also go downstairs.
"Dizzy!" Lady Tremaine calls before a little girl runs out of a nearby room and wraps Zoe in a hug.
"Don't you worry, little one. I'll be back before you know it," Zoe tells her little sister before placing a kiss on her head. "Bye Grandmother." They then all go downstairs. Zoe watches as Carlos quickly throws his bag in the trunk before ducking into the car. Jay And Evie then get in as Zoe gives Dizzy one last hug. Zoe gets in the car followed by Mal.
"Bring home the gold!" Jafar calls.
"Bring home a puppy," Cruela calls.
"Bring home a prince," The Evil Queen and Lady Tremaine both call as the limo drives away.
