Ashton: Ashton took a deep breath and fished in his pocket for his written out wedding vows. He found the neatly folded sheet of paper and unfolded it with fumbling hands before beginning to recite the vows he had spent hours perfecting for this day. “From the second I got up the nerve to say hello to you, I knew you were the one I wanted to marry,” he informed you, “If I ended our first date with ‘I love you,’ it would have been just as true as it was months later when I finally said those three words that held so much power, hanging in the balance between my lips and yours. When I’m not with you, everything is bleaker. No one sees as much magic in the world as you do, and from you I’ve learned there is beauty in all things. I vow to look for the allure in every experience we share, and to remember that even when I cannot see the beauty you see, I can see you, which is more than enough beauty for me. I promise to never let the enchantment between us fade, even when we are old and grey. I promise to love you passionately now and forever, and to protect your gentle heart from the dangers in this world even when you insist I do not need to.”

Michael: Michael met your eyes and smiled easily before clearing his throat. “Y/n,” he began with a loving sigh, “When we decided to write our own vows, I had no idea how hard that would be. And that’s not because I don’t love you or don’t know how to tell you I love you, but it is because I love too much about you. Keeping this short was my biggest challenge, and now I’m wasting time so I better get into it. When I first saw you, I thought, ‘damn this girl is hot,’ but I never thought that we’d end up here. To tell you the truth, I never really thought I’d end up here with anyone, but once I got to know you I knew I wanted to get to know you for the rest of my life. You are my inspiration in every sense of the word. Your kindness and strength amaze me every day, and your patience is something I will never take for granted. It still confuses me that you’d ever willingly spend the rest of your life with me, because let’s be honest you could do way better. Nevertheless, I promise to do my best to be the man you deserve. I promise to encourage you, hear you, and occasionally let you win in Mario Kart, because that’s the only way you’ll ever beat me. Lastly, I promise to love you with my whole heart for the rest of my days just as I do today.”

Luke: Luke reached into his tuxedo pocket and pulled out his vows, written on what appeared to be a menu. “Is that a menu?” you whispered to him. He nodded sheepishly and you laughed as you pulled out your vows, written on an identical menu to the cafe where you had your first date. Luke laughed, shaking his head as he teared up again. “Y/n,” he said with his voice breaking slightly. He cleared his throat and began again, “Y/n, I’ve never told you this because it’s pretty embarrassing, but after our first date I went home and googled ‘How to know you met the one.’ You can laugh. It’s okay.” You gave a watery chuckle and Luke smiled before continuing, “The point is, I knew it. You weren’t like anyone I had ever met before. You were exciting and new and you made me so nervous. I knew I was in love with you when we got lost on our first road trip and spent hours driving the wrong direction, but listening to the greatest music.” Luke smiled at the memory, and you did, too. “I’ve fallen for you more and more every day, and I can’t wait to fall even harder every day for the rest of my life. I vow to treasure you and to encourage you in your passions as you have always done for me. I will remind you to breathe when you worry, and I will pretend to like your cooking even when you burn literally everything you make, including the foods that don’t need to be cooked - and don’t deny it, you’ve done that. Most importantly, I promise to be the best husband I can be, and to love and cherish you for the rest of our days.”

Calum: “Alright, vows,” Calum muttered, patting his pockets, “I’m sure I have those somewhere.” You felt yourself start to panic as he checked his pant pockets and came up empty handed. “Kidding,” Calum chuckled, pulling a slip of paper from his coat. You rolled your eyes and he laughed. “Y/n, my love,” he began seriously, “You make me so unbelievably happy. My face hurts right now from smiling. You are everything I could ever have hoped to have in a girlfriend, a best friend, and now a wife. You have taught me what true love is, and for that I am forever grateful. Like every relationship, we’ve had our problems, namely the distance. The patience you’ve had with me and the dedication you’ve shown me throughout all of our seemingly endless months apart have brought us here today. Despite how difficult being apart became, it was the distance that showed this love for what it really was - unbreakable. If home is where the heart is, then darling I could live anywhere so long as you agree to come with me. You feel like home: comforting, familiar and smelling really really good. You are all I need, now and forever. I offer you my hand and my heart as we journey into the future, facing new obstacles and creating new adventures. I promise to always focus on what is best for us and our future family. I promise to support you, challenge you, and honor you in every way I know how. You are the love of my life, and I promise to remember every day how lucky I am to have you.
