Chapter 18

"You know, I thought I'd never hear you say that to me again, I mean, this was the mission, to get you back to me. I'm not going to say anything else that might overwhelm you, you still probably don't remember a lot of things"
My father was at the door, to be honest I'm upset, I hoped it would've been Nathaniel, I haven't seen him and I just pray he isn't mad a me.
"All this time you know, I felt like something was wrong when I was with those people I grew up with, I felt tortured all those years, you're own child went through hell!"
I started shouting now
"And to make matters worse, you show up now? Where were you when I was at my many breaking points, all those times I tried to kill myself and now! Fucking now! You try to protect me! How fucking dare you!"
"My life just couldn't get any worse, it just couldn't, I've ruined every fucking chance I've got to make it better, no matter if you're here or not, my life's going to end one way or the other, and you're not getting in the way of that"
The sight is unbearable, he's against the wall, holding back tears just staring at me,
"I'm going to end up just like her," I point at the picture in the stand, the one of Gabriella,
What makes you think you can stop me from doing what she did to her self? What makes this any different?"
Just leave me the fuck alone, just get lost...again"
he slowly exits the room
i inhale slowly and exhale, trying to calm myself down. I start coughing violently .
"hey you okay?'
i look up and finally see him,
"I know I should've been here earlier for you but I was so mad, I mean first you take some of my stuff, and leave without telling me, and I started worrying about you, and I was afraid something would happen, and I justed couldn't live with that, and when they finally found you, I just couldn't believe what I was feeling, so I hid, away from everyone.''
Nathaniel steps closer, "I've never felt so much till now...here with you"
He steps close enough for me to see the small stubble on his face, and the freckles, close enough for me to see the golden specks in his eyes, close enough for me to just let myself go.
Nathaniel hold my face in his hands, and starts kissing me, slowly but passionately
Things escalated from there, Nathaniel was gentle and knew what he was doing, more scars were found, but Nathaniel kissed those away. After we just fell asleep listening to each other's breath and feeling each other's warmth under the sheets.

I feel movement coming from under me, I open my eyes to see Nathaniel in all his glory, remembering last night I sit up really fast.
I hear a knock at the door,
"Aria, breakfast"
And Sunny opens the door, I hurry to cover my chest,
"Shit, I-I-I um"
He looks away,
He mumbles something incoherent, "get dressed-come down-Nathaniel"
The door shuts closed
Nathaniel's a heavy sleeper, I jostle him awake,
"Mmm, Aria good-morning, let's go back to sleep okay? I haven't had a good night sleep since"
He pulls me back down with him, I turn my head on the pillow to face him,
"Nathaniel, Sunny walked in and said we had to go down for breakfast"
"They won't bother us, just stay with me"
And I stay, wrapped up in his embrace sleeping for an eternity.
