missing a sibling

3:34am. Sonic had no reason to be up but he just was, the sound of a Pewdiepie minecraft gameplay worked its way into Sonic's headphones when suddenly a knock at his door made him pause the video and lazily walk to it.

Sonic let out a yawn as his hand grabbed the doorknob and upon opening it Shadow dashes in and pins him to the wall.

"Sh-shadow!" Sonic feels like peeing his pants right then and there, he wasn't in uniform and wearing nothing but boxers.

"I know about your little secret you lying rat!" Shadow snarled and he reaches into his pocket to pull out an airhorn of all things. 

"What are you gonna do?" Sonic cried.

"I'm gonna burst out your eardrums, you'll never be able to hear again. hahaha!"

"Shadow please don't, I'm sorry i just didn't wanna loose you." Sonic tried getting out of the other's grip but his escape attempt was useless. Shadow was stronger for some reason.

"It's too late for that now," Shadow positioned his finger over the button. "Say goodbye to hearing." Sonic braced himself by closing his eyes and turning his head to the side but when Shadow pressed the button a loud blaring horn noise didn't come, the noise of the standard iphone ringtone did.

"Huh?"

The blaring noise of an incoming call coming from his phone woke him up in an instant. default iphone ringtone music boomed into his eardrums ruining Sonic's dream.

Sonic got up from under the covers and stretched his arms before reaching to for his phone that charged on Sonia's nightstand.

Picking the white device up, Sonic accepts the call without checking who it was and puts it to his ear.

"Uhh, Hello?" Sonic said with a yawn.

"WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU YOU STUPID PINCUSION! YOU HAVEN'T BEEN TO WORK IN 3 DAYS HOW FUCKING SICK ARE YOU?!" The screams of his boss woke Sonic right up. His slouched position went straight up to a regular posture and he jumped out of bed.

"Oh uh.. Mr Robotnik i told you, I've been so sick to the point of vomiting all over my co-workers." Sonic explained to the big fat man that was his boss. "I'm all better now and i should be there in an hour tops!"

"Well you better be OR YOU'RE FIRED!" Sonic's boss then hung up in anger leaving Sonic to sigh and sit on the bed he previously slept on. Mr Robotnik always threw that threat around to the point of him being so used to it no one in the work space feared it.

Sonic looked at himself in the mirror and then he finally relized after so many minutes where he was. "I had a good sleep here.." Sonic mumbled eyeing the bed. "I should get ready though."

Dashing into his actual room, Sonic grabbed clothes and took a nice shower before changing into his light blue button shirt, khaki pants and darker blue tie.

As he slipped his red and white shoes on, he noticed just how much he missed the dresses and make-up. "Some black eyeliner would do me so good right now with this dumb shirt." Sonic sighed as he brushed his quills.

He wouldn't put any make-up on no matter how much he wanted to though, it was just for Shadow.

Sonic was frying bacon and making pancakes when Manic and Scourge came down stairs with their backpacks and same tired looks.

Sonic eyed the two suspiciously. "Did he sleep here?" He asked pointing a spatula to Scourge.

"Pretty much." Manic said, he saw what Sonic was cooking and his eyes lit up. "Ooh we're actually having breakfast? That's new."

"Yeah, i decided maybe having a good breakfast would help us throught the day since just eating cereal isn't helping." Sonic said grabbing a plate and serving some bacon and pancakes for his brother.

"Did you get that from some diet magazine?" Scourge asked grabbing himself a pancake and just eating it like it was, no fork he just started eating it.

Sonic watched him a little disturbed but didn't question it much. "Uh no i just decided to cook for once and don't you want syrup with that?"

"Nah, syrup is sticky like my cu-!"

The green hedgehog with a weird way of eating pancakes didn't finish his sentence because Manic hit with his elbow on his ribs making him swallow a piece of pancake whole.

The three hedgehogs sat on the dinner table eating pancakes with bacon and drinking orange juice.

"Remember when Sonia made pancakes to us every morning and we'd eat it in the living room as we watched Spongebob?" Manic laughed as he stabbed his pancake with his fork.

"Or when we'd stay up on saturdays just to watch Friends with her," Sonic chuckled. "Good times."

"We gotta have her over dude, i kinda miss her and now that you're dressing like her i can't help but miss her more." Manic sighed taking a bite from his flat breakfast item.

"When's the last time you guy's saw her?" Scourge asked. He didn't know the girl personally but he's seen pictures and Manic talked about her a lot.

"I think, 6 or 7 years ago." Sonic replied. "She only calls us on our birthdays and Christmas."

"Wow, seems like a nice sister." Scourge said with sarcasm.

"She lives in Arizona, we're in New York, so of course we're not gonna see her. She has a family too." Manic told his friend. It was all true, Sonia moved out after getting married and since her husband's family lived in Arizona, they moved there. Last time Sonic called her on his birthday, she had 5 kids, three dogs and a pet mouse. She was a very busy woman after getting married something quite different then when she was single and living with her two younger brothers.

"Hm," Scourge hummed. "Well i hope you two see her soon."

Sonic sighed. "I hope so too."

Lol sorry this was boring. Like the whole scandle thing, this'll slowly start to become relevant at some point. Also i needed something to lead to the introduction of Sonic's job cuz that's important. You guys like work right?
