Sa gitna ng anim na maton ay mabilis na kumilos si Minteria upang lumaban sa mga ito. Weird thing was she's not using her gun. It was pure tactics and physical combat. Matalinong pagiwas at pinupuntirya ang vital parts ng kalaban. Isa isang nagliparan ang mga baril ng mga kalaban niya.
Ngumisi si Aldeguer nang sumaludo ito sa kaliwang bahagi ng kakahuyan.
Ah, may sniper siguro sa lugar na iyon. Hays, why was I even worrying over this lady? Eh kung tutuusin kahit ako di makakapantay sa lakas at talino niya. Hinayaan ko na sila dun at hinagilap ang ilang kasamahan nila. Naalala ko ang lalaking tinawag niyang Ace. Why does that name ring a bell? Where did I ever hear that?
"Fudge! Third! On your left!" Mabilis akong lumingon dun nang marinig ko ang sigaw ni Minteria. There O saw the face of one of the most wanted person on the list of drug lords Mint and I have been tailing for so long.
"Ace." I stated. "O should I call you Drift Forbe?" I smirked.
May malakas na pagsabog na nagdulot ng sunog sa kakahuyan.

Nakatakas ako sa loob ng mansyon para sundan sina Third. I have been feeling bad since they step out of the mansion. I couldn't shake the nerves. I have this feeling that I am about to lose another important person. It's scaring the shits out of me.
"Now, where do you go Katarina?" Mahinang bulong ko habang tinatahak ang kakahuyan sa gilid ng mansyon. I saw wildfire at the back side of the forest.
"Fudge! Third! On your left!" Narinig kong sigaw ni Mint. I went their way and saw Mint a couple meters away from Third and Drift standing in front of each other with Drift's gun pointed to Third's face. They're surrounded by fire.
They were talking but I couldn't make any sense of what they were saying. Pero kitang kita ko ang gigil sa mukha ni Drift kaya mabilis ang kilos na lumapit ako sa kanila.
I saw Drift getting ready to pull the trigger.
No! Not Third. No more death. I won't be able to take it if I'll lose another love. Yes, I love Third. Maybe more than I have ever loved anybody else.
"No! Third!" I screamed and ran to cover Third by my own body. I felt a pang of pain on the upper left part of my back. Nanlambot ako at halos matumba mula sa pagkakakapit ko kay Third. I saw worry as I trailed my eyes around his face.
"Kat!" Third's voice filled the air as I gasp. I looked at the eyes that looked at me with ease, care, longin and love. I have never ever felt this kind of emotion for anybody before. I never felt my heart bleed for someone who's alive just because I am losing mine. "No! Fuck! Love! Don't sleep! Please!" Sigaw niya.
I smiled as I felt my eyes become heavier. I want to so badly succumb to the dizziness but I tried to keep my eyes open. I reached for his cheek and touched his face. He gripped my hand and kissed the palm of my hand as he chant 'No please don't leave me Kat. Please. No.' I smiled at him.
"Juan Martinez III, my Third. T-Thank you.. For making m-me.." I coughed for air and closed my eyes tightly as I gasped for air, I opened my eyes as I looked at the face of the man I have learned to love. "L-Love you. Yo-u.. Made me b-believe a-gai-n. Thank y-you." Hindi ko na kayang pigilan ang pagdilim ng paningin ko kasabay ng pagsigaw ni Third sa pangalan ko bago ako tuluyang inagaw ng dilim.

"Putangina mo!" Biglang tinaas ni Third ang baril at pinaputukan si Drift na nakatayo sa harapan nila. Nagulat si Minteria sa ginawa ni Third kaya mabilis niyang nilapitan ito at pinigilan. He snapped. His tears streaked face showed no emotions but anger as he pulled the trigger continuously until his last bullet.
Walang tigil ang pagkalabit niya sa gatilyo kahit na wala nang lumalabas na bala mula doon. He hugged Kat's unconscious body as he continued to cry and scream.
"Fuck Martinez! Snap out of it! We need to bring Kat to the hospital! Come on now please!" Mint's face came to his view. He saw her cry and pleaded for him to move. He lost it. He doesn't know what to do and he just wanted to go and kill Drift.
"Oh fuck it!" Sigaw niya nang makabalik sa kamalayan. Mabilis na binuhat niya si Kat at tumakbo papunta sa labas ng kakahuyan. Halos di niya maramdaman kung pano sila nakapunta sa hospital. Ang tanging alam lang niya ay halos umikot ang paningin niya sa sobrang takot na mawala ang kaisa-isang babaeng minahal niya.
He was so terrified of losing Katarina and he just know he's willing to trade his life to the devil just to get Katarina back.
Nagising ang kamalayan niya nang maramdaman ang tapik sa balikat niya. Nilingon niya iyon and he saw his Dad's face. Saka niya lang naramdaman na nakaupo pala siya sa bench. When he looked up he's in front of the operating room.
"I know how hard it is Third. I have been there. Waiting for a miracle that will bring your mother back. It's devastating but son, she needs you now. You have to snap back anak. Pray." Nakakaunawang ngumiti si Dad.
"Nahuli si Drift kanina. Buti na lamang at hindi napuruhan ng paulanan ni Third ng bala kanina. It will be a trouble for your company if he was to kill that devil. Nasa custody na rin si Greyson. Sumuko siya kanina." Pagbabalita ni Tito Kristoff. Bumuntong hininga si Dad.
"Motive?" Umiling lang ang tatay ni Mint.
"They didn't want to talk. They're asking for a lawyer. That ass! Kat's his daughter. Fuck him!" Gigil na sambit ni Tito. Nakuyom ko ang kamao sa sobrang galit. Magsasalita sana ako nang lumabas ang doktor mula sa OR. Mabilis na tumayo siya at nagulat nang makita si Veron.
"I was able to extract the bullet man, but she lost too much blood. She needs transfusion as soon as possible. Critical ang sitwasyon niya." Huminga ng malalim si Veron.
"Take mine." Mabilis niyang sabi.
"Sorry man. Kat's AB, B ang blood type mo. You can't." Halos manlamig siya sa narinig. "Walang stock ng AB ngayon. Fuck! We might-"
"Sa akin kayo kumuha." Malamig na turan ni Tyron sa gilid namin. Hindi niya napansin na naroroon pala ito.
"Why would we-"
"Because I am her father. Take mine now!" He cut me off with a scream. Halos mapanganga ako sa narinig. Her father?! What in the fuck?!
"Anong-" Hindi ko na natuloy ang sinasabi lko nang hindi niya ako pansinin at sumama na kay Veron. Lalong tila sasabog ang utak ko sa narinig.
